East Ridge, TN – On Saturday, June 17th, the East Ridge Community Center will transform into a hub of excitement as it hosts the inaugural Father’s Day Field Day, a special event dedicated to celebrating dads of all ages. This FREE event will offer a range of athletic activities and games, ensuring a memorable day for fathers and their families.

From 5pm to 7pm, fathers and their guests will be treated to a delicious menu featuring hot dogs, chips, and refreshing drinks. Inside the Community Center, pickleball nets will be set up, allowing dads to engage in friendly competition and showcase their skills. The event will also feature entertaining yard games such as cornhole and spike ball, providing additional opportunities for families to bond and have fun.

Adding to the excitement, TopGolf will supply their golf activity inflatable, enabling dads to display their golfing prowess and enjoy some friendly golf-related challenges. For families with younger children, the East Ridge playground and splashpad, located nearby, will be open for exploration and water-filled enjoyment.

The inspiration behind the event, according to Kandon Patterson, East Ridge Recreation Assistant, stems from the fact that Father’s Day often goes unnoticed as fathers tend to downplay their own celebration. “We want to give our dads the recognition they deserve but not make them feel overwhelmed by the attention,” Patterson explained, highlighting the importance of honoring fathers and making them feel special.

Father’s Day Field Day is a community-driven event aimed at fostering a sense of togetherness and appreciation for the invaluable role played by fathers. The event will be held at the East Ridge Community Center, conveniently located at 1515 Tombras Avenue. Admission is FREE for all attendees, ensuring that families can partake in the festivities without any financial burden.
