Signal Mountain, TN – The Signal Mountain Police Department is organizing a drug take-back event on April 22nd to promote safe disposal of unused and expired medications. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Signal Mountain Police Department, located at 1111 Ridgeway Avenue.

The purpose of the event is to provide a safe and responsible way for residents to dispose of their prescription drugs. This will help prevent the drugs from falling into the wrong hands and being misused, abused, or accidentally ingested.

The event is open to all residents of Signal Mountain and the surrounding areas. Participants can drop off their prescription drugs in a secure and confidential manner, with no questions asked. The police department will accept prescription pills and patches, but they will not accept liquids, needles, or sharps.

The Signal Mountain Police Department has been organizing these take-back events for several years. The department has partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to help promote safe and responsible disposal of prescription drugs.

According to the DEA, drug take-back events are an effective way to prevent prescription drug abuse and overdose deaths. In the past, these events have collected thousands of pounds of prescription drugs across the country.

If you have any questions about the event or about proper disposal of prescription drugs, you can contact the Signal Mountain Police Department at (423) 886-2124.
