Jack Tatum Brings His Eclectic Sound to Songbirds on July 31st, Teasing New EP “Insula”

Chattanooga’s local music scene is about to get a boost with an exciting upcoming performance by local artist Jack Tatum.

This afternoon, Jack joined Gino D in the studio to chat about his highly anticipated show at Songbirds, scheduled for this Friday, July 31st. He’ll be sharing the stage with Luke Simmons and The Lovestruck for an evening of soulful, experimental sounds.

Based in Chattanooga, Jack Tatum has gained recognition for his unique blend of dreamy, psychedelic textures combined with confident, melodic hip-hop. His music creates a captivating atmosphere that feels both otherworldly and intensely personal. Drawing inspiration from underground rap, alternative R&B, and atmospheric production, Jack’s sound oscillates between late-night introspection and swagger-filled confidence. His vivid lyricism paired with ethereal soundscapes leaves a lasting impression on listeners.

The concert at Songbirds promises an immersive experience, with tickets costing $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m.

After the interview, Jack also gave fans an exclusive listen of his upcoming track “Masquerade,” which will be featured on his new EP, Insula, set for release on August 4th. He shared that the project, created in collaboration with talented artist Jackie Sterna, symbolizes a journey of self-discovery, rebuilding identity, and reclaiming masculinity.
