Hamilton County Parks and Recreation is gearing up to launch an exciting new summer tradition with the debut of Lakeside Live!, a FREE outdoor concert series at Chester Frost Park. Set to kick off this Saturday, June 13th, the series offers a perfect blend of live music, family-friendly activities, and natural beauty along the scenic waterfront.
The inaugural event will feature a lively performance by Captain Mike & The Shipwrecked, a nationally recognized Jimmy Buffett tribute band known for their energetic shows and tropical party atmosphere. Opening the evening will be local favorite James Snider with his band, Fresh Mind. The concert begins at 7 p.m., with family activities starting at 4 p.m., providing plenty of time for visitors to enjoy the park’s amenities.
Lakeside Live! aims to create memorable summer experiences for residents and visitors alike. The event is entirely FREE, with FREE parking available for all attendees. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, arrive early to enjoy the festivities, and explore the park’s offerings, including beaches, a dog park, biking trails, and camping options for those wishing to extend their stay.
The Lakeside Live! series will continue through the summer with additional concerts scheduled for July 11th and August 15th. The July lineup features Rubiks Groove, while August’s performance will showcase Amber Carrington, along with opening acts Bella Lam and the Boys.
All concerts will be held at Chester Frost Park, located at 2277 Gold Pointe Circle N. in Hixson. Attendees can enjoy food vendors on-site, and camping opportunities are available for those wishing to make a weekend of it.
Hamilton County Parks and Recreation encourages the community to join in this new summer tradition, gather by the lake, and enjoy music under the stars.
