Starting May 6th, McDonald’s is rolling out a fresh lineup of six innovative beverages, designed to excite loyal fans and attract new visitors alike. Building on the restaurant’s rich history of iconic drinks—like Sprite®, Diet Coke®, and the beloved Hi-C® Orange Lavaburst—this new selection features three revitalized Refreshers and three specially crafted sodas, all bursting with bold flavors and eye-catching ingredients.
The new drinks aim to turn everyday moments into memorable experiences, whether it’s a quick treat, a refreshing recharge, or a fun reason to reconnect. Highlights include colorful beverages with freeze-dried fruit additions, smooth cold foam, and popping boba, all crafted to give each sip a distinctive twist. Notably, these beverages are here to stay, marking a permanent addition to McDonald’s menu.
Among the standout offerings are the Strawberry Watermelon Refresher, blending sweet strawberries and watermelon with a lemonade base, and topped with freeze-dried strawberries for extra flair. The Mango Pineapple Refresher offers a tropical mix of mango and pineapple, accented with strawberry boba for a juicy burst. The Blackberry Passion Fruit Refresher combines bold berries with passion fruit, featuring freeze-dried dragon fruit for added sweetness and visual appeal.
In the soda category, Sprite® Berry Blast infuses the classic lemon-lime soda with a sweet blue raspberry flavor, finished with a layer of decadent cold foam. The Orange Dream, a twist on the fan-favorite Hi-C® Orange Lavaburst, introduces vanilla notes and cold foam for a smooth, citrusy experience. The Dirty Dr Pepper® combines the familiar taste of Dr Pepper® with vanilla and cold foam, creating a rich, indulgent finish.
To promote the launch, Gino D from The Afternoon Show recently hosted a taste test with a local McDonald’s owner and operator. The segment provided fans with an insider look at these new beverages, emphasizing the innovative flavors and fun presentation that McDonald’s aims to deliver.
They emphasized that the new drinks reflect the brand’s dedication to offering hand-crafted, high-quality options that keep fans coming back. With nearly 14,000 restaurants nationwide, McDonald’s continues to elevate its beverage game, making drinks not just a side note but a key reason to visit.
