The Celebrity Beat…

Miley Cyrus’ new album, “Bass Persuades”, made history in its second week.  But it’s not the kind of history she would have hoped for.

Last week the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, and in its second week, it dropped 156 spots, to #157.  That’s the largest second-week drop for an album that debuted at #1.

It’s not the largest drop from #1, though.  Bon Jovi’s “This House Is Not for Sale” went from #1 to #169 in a single week back in 2018.  But that was its SECOND time hitting #1.

The Bon Jovi album came out in November of 2016 and debuted at #1.  Then it retook the top spot in March of 2018 thanks to one of those ticket-bundling schemes where you get the album when you buy a ticket to a show.
