Police Warn Against Dangerous “Orbeez Challenge”

Authorities are warning against taking part in the latest TikTok trend called the “Orbeez Challenge.”

The challenge involves loading an Orbeez toy blaster gun with gel beads to randomly fire at people.

Recently Volusia County deputies in Florida had to investigate after a delivery driver in Deltona was hit with the beads while sitting in his vehicle en route.

This led to the arrest of 19-year-old Sean McMullen, who is also accused of shooting another adult and 10-year-old child with Orbeez.

Officials are warning parents the trend can lead to injury, arrest, and potentially other consequences.
