In The Know with Gino…
The Riverwalk Bridge has officially reopened to the public after months of closure for reconstruction and improvements. The bridge, a key part of the Tennessee Riverwalk, had been temporarily shut down to facilitate necessary repairs and enhancements aimed at ensuring safety and longevity.
Community members can now once again enjoy scenic strolls across the bridge, which serves as a vital connection along the popular Riverwalk trail. While some final touches, such as paint touch-ups, are still underway, the structure is fully accessible for pedestrians, cyclists, and runners.
Local officials expressed gratitude for the community’s patience during the reconstruction period. The upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the Riverwalk, a favorite spot for outdoor recreation and family outings in the area.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the reopened bridge and experience the enhanced trail environment. The project underscores a commitment to supporting active lifestyles and strengthening community connections along the Tennessee River.
