SOCCER LIVE! Chattanooga Brings Free World Cup Watch Party to Downtown Green This Weekend!

Chattanooga is gearing up for an exciting weekend of global soccer fandom with the upcoming SOCCER LIVE! Chattanooga event, a FREE community watch party scheduled from June 19th to June 21st, 2026. Taking place at the scenic Chattanooga Green (140 Riverfront Parkway, Chattanooga, TN 37402) along the riverfront, the event promises to bring together residents and visitors to enjoy the thrill of the World Cup in a lively, family-friendly setting.
Organized by the City of Chattanooga, Hamilton County, The Sports & Events Corporation, and Chattanooga Tourism Co., the gathering will feature LIVE broadcasts of major World Cup matches, thanks to a partnership with Telemundo. Attendees can expect an outdoor viewing experience on a large screen, complemented by food and beverage options available for purchase, interactive activities, and a dedicated soccer field where participants of all ages can get involved in the action.
The event kicks off each day approximately an hour before the first game begins and continues until the final whistle. On opening day, June 19th, gates open at 2pm, with the first match between the United States and Australia scheduled for 3pm, and the festivities will run through the evening until the last match at 11pm.
The following day, Saturday, June 20th, begins at 12pm, with matches starting at 1pm, and the event will extend into the evening, closing after the final game at 8pm. On the event’s final day, June 21st, doors open at 11am, with kickoff at 12pm, and the celebration will wrap up after the last match at 9pm.
Participants are encouraged to bring friends and family, sport their favorite team colors, and enjoy the camaraderie of watching the world’s biggest soccer tournament in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. The event aims to foster a festive atmosphere that highlights both the sport and the community spirit.
