The Celebrity Beat…

Sydney Sweeney is distantly related to another celebrity, and you’ll never guess who it is.  Actually, it’s kind of a no-brainer once you hear the name: Marilyn Monroe.

The genealogy website MyHeritage.com determined that they’re 9th cousins once removed, through a shared ancestor named Ezra Perry, who lived in Sandwich, Massachusetts in the 1600s.

The website says, quote, “Uncovering their shared branch was incredible, it’s a powerful reminder that humanity is one vast family tree, and when we dig deep, we uncover how remarkably interconnected we all are.”
