Taylor Swift released the new video for “I Can See You” on Friday night, which stars her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner along with Joey King, Presley Cash. All three made a live appearance Friday at Swift’s show in Kansas City at the same moment the video dropped. Lautner, who infamously dated Swift in 2009 and inspired the song “Back To December,” came out onstage with a cartwheel and a backflip to huge applause. Swift then told the crowd that Lautner was a “very positive force” in her life when she was recording Speak Now (which just dropped its Taylor’s Version), and that the Twilight star and his new wife—also named Taylor—“have become some of my closest friends.” Lautner too had only nice things to say. “I respect you so much. Not just for the singer you are, the songwriter, the performer — but truly for the human you are. You are gracious, humble, kind and I’m honored to know you,” he told Swift.
