The Celebrity Beat…

The 2026 Emmy nominees were announced yesterday, and the medical drama “The Pitt” cleaned up with 25 nominations.  But “Hacks” was close behind with 24, which is a record for a comedy series in a single year.

Other shows with double-digit nominations include “Widow’s Bay”“Pluribus”“Beef”“DTF St. Louis”“Saturday Night Live”, and “Spider-Noir”.

Snubs included pretty much everything by Taylor Sheridan, as usual …except for “Tulsa King”, which got a nod in the stunt coordination category.

Other shows that got shut out include “I Love L.A.”“Industry”“Elsbeth”“The Lowdown”“The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins”, and “St. Denis Medical”.

Also, nothing for “Matlock”, which means Kathy Bates sits this year out.

Kristen Bell and Adam Brody were NOT nominated for “Nobody Wants This”, even though they made the cut in 2025.

Also, there was no posthumous nomination for Eric Dane for his work on “Euphoria”.

However someone who DID get a posthumous nomination was Rob Reiner, for his guest work on “The Bear”.
