The Drink For The Summer Of 2026 Is……

If you were a child in the ’80s or ’90s who spent any time with their grandparents, you’re familiar with Fresca, the old-person soda.  You may not have had it since then . . . but now, maybe you should.

An alcoholic version of Fresca . . . “Fresca Hard” . . . has hit stores.  It’s 4.6% ABV, with only 99 calories per can, and zero sugar.

It’s available in several flavors:  Classic Grapefruit Citrus . . . Pineapple Citrus . . . Peach Citrus . . . and Watermelon Citrus.  It costs around $18 per 12-pack.  (Unless “dynamic pricing” sees your gray hairs and jacks up the price!)

This is a MALT beverage, which is different than the vodka-based Fresca Mix canned cocktails they released a few years ago.

So how do they taste?  Someone at a website called “The Takeout” reviewed it, and said it could be “the new seltzer of the summer.”  They say the grapefruit one does taste like classic Fresca, but the best flavor is Peach Citrus.
