Ever joke with your best friend about buying a house and raising your families together? For some people, that idea is becoming real life.
A growing number of millennials are embracing platonic co-parenting. In some cases, it’s single parents who have split from their spouses and are moving in together and raising their children under one roof. If it’s all moms, instead of a commune, they’re calling it a “mommune”.
And some other people are choosing to have children with their friends or like-minded people, without any romantic relationship involved.
Co-parenting apps are taking off too. They help connect people interested in starting families with platonic partners.
A lot of people are saying the lack of romance actually makes parenting and household decisions less complicated.
