This Celebrity Will Be the Oldest Person to Host “Saturday Night Live” If the Internet Gets Its Way

Remember when an Internet campaign convinced the suits at “Saturday Night Live” to let Betty White host?  Well, a similar thing might happen for Carol Burnett.

“SNL” asked fans on Twitter who they’d like to see host, and Carol got an avalanche of support.  It actually got her name trending to the point that a lot of people were afraid she DIED.

Here’s the kicker:  If Carol does the show, she’ll be the oldest person who’s EVER hosted.  She’s 89 years old.  Betty was only 88 when she hosted.

Carol did appear briefly on “SNL” once during a 1985 episode hosted by Harry Anderson.
