Trevor Noah Is Leaving “The Daily Show”

Trevor Noah announced yesterday that he’s leaving “The Daily Show” after seven years…but he didn’t say when that’ll be.

He said, quote, “It’s been one of my greatest challenges [and] one of my greatest joys.  I’ve loved trying to figure out how to make people laugh even when the stories are particularly [crappy] on the worst days … I’m not disappearing, don’t worry.  If I owe you money, I’ll still pay you.”

Trevor said he misses doing stand-up comedy, traveling to other countries, and learning other languages.  So it sounds like he already has a plan for what’s next.

Comedy Central said in a statement, quote, “We are grateful to Trevor for our amazing partnership over the past seven years.  With no timetable for his departure, we’re working together on next steps … As we look ahead, we’re excited for the next chapter in the 25+ year history of ‘The Daily Show’ as it continues to redefine culture through sharp and hilarious social commentary, helping audiences make sense of the world around them.

In related Trevor news, he was seen kissing Dua Lipa on Wednesday night in New York City.  See the photos here!
