The next time you go out to eat, don’t show up in flip-flops and a tank top.  A study found dressing up might get you better service…

Researchers at the University of Missouri had 222 waiters and waitresses look at pictures of random people, and guess whether each person would leave a good tip or not.

It turned out they were much more likely to assume they’d get a good tip from people in dress clothes.  So if you dress up, you might get treated better.

It could make an even bigger difference for guys.  Well-dressed men were seen as the best tippers and guys who dressed casually were expected to leave the worst tips.
