2 in 3 people have hand me downs in their house. A study of 2,000 people found that a majority of us have items that are upcylced or hand me downs from family and friends. 75% say they’re comfortable with the idea of buying a gently-used, second-hand product in the future. Thrifting has been popularized by social media. 2/3rds of us feel guilty throwing out things that have been handed down to us.
