43% of Us Slow Down to “Rubberneck” When We See a Crash

Chattanooga, Tennessee—(Wise Brother)
This is why every little fender-bender causes a traffic jam . . .
If you’re driving and there’s a wreck on the side of the road, do you ever slow down to get a better look? Yeah, a lot of us do.
“Rubbernecking” is the name people use for it. And a poll found over 40% of us are likely to do it when we see a crash.
43% said it’s something they do “often” or “very often.” Everyone else either said they do it occasionally, or they don’t drive.
One more stat: The same poll asked about road rage. 19% of Americans . . . or around 1 in 5 . . . said driving angry is a regular thing for them.
