Are You a “Spender” or “Saver”? A Poll Found Spenders Might Be Happier

Chattanooga, Tennessee—(Wise Brother)
It’s Halloween, but there’s also a lesser-known holiday today. World Savings Day is when we’re encouraged to think about saving more and spending less. But this new poll for it kind of flies in the face of that . . .
56% of Americans consider themselves to be “spenders,” willing to splurge if they really want something. Only 34% say they’re “savers” . . . and 10% say they’re a mix of both.
And the poll found being a “spender” might actually make you HAPPIER. At least for now.
Spenders were more likely to say they’re happy with their personal life, their work life, and with their current relationship. The question is will they be happier in the FUTURE?
The top things we consider before making a big purchase are how long will the item last . . . how often will we use it . . . and are we getting a good deal.
The average person thinks anything that costs more than around $1,750 is a major purchase, and we’ll do around 12 hours of research before we buy. The purchases we spend the most time researching are electronics, cars, and vacations.
