Four Things To Do In The Morning To Be Happier All Day

Often times people think that having a great day is dependent upon circumstances or situations that we can not control like having someone pay for your Starbucks, catching all green lights when heading into work or hearing all your favorite songs on the radio back to back. If all these things happen to you all at once and on Friday I am sure you would have a pretty great day. Even if these things didn’t happen you can still have an amazing work day by doing these four things below:
1. No Screen time when you first wake up. When you reach for your phone or turn on your tv in the morning, you’re letting the outside world dictate your mood.
2. Be your own cheerleader. You don’t to say things out loud, but hyping yourself up can set you up for success.
3. Talk to somebody. It can be anyone you care about like your spouse, your child, a friend. It can be a call, text, or a meet up for coffee. Having that social interaction is key.
4. Be thankful. Research shows people who journaled about the things they’re thankful for during the week scored significantly higher on levels of happiness than people who wrote down things that aggravated them.
