Who Is Better At Driving Directions…Men Or Women

A new study from the University of Illinois tested a group of men and women on their navigating skills by having them make their way through a city using only a map or verbal directions. And the winners were…..the men, but not for the reasons you are thinking. The old stereotype is that men are naturally better at navigating, but a previous study debunked that. Researchers believe men get more practice at it, especially when they were kids. Society tended to encourage boys to play outside more than girls and that could explain why men develop navigational skills at an earlier age. Now does this mean that all men are great with directions, no, some down right suck at it. It also doesn’t mean women can’t navigate a city, there are women who are great with maps.
