6 Minutes of Stardom: Amber Fults

Our featured local artist this week for 6 Minutes of Stardom with Gino D is Amber Fults from Chattanooga. Amber has been a singer for as long as she can remember and says she likes to write songs that make people say things like “I really hate my ex too!“.

However it wasn’t until 2008,  after suffering from a broken ankle, Amber really turned on the creativity and has been going ever since. Over the years, Amber has played lots of shows, festivals, and more in the area and beyond. One of her favorite places to play is The Woodshop Listening Room in St. Elmo.

She’s influenced by artists like Ingrid Michaelson and Tenacious D, and when Amber is not writing about her ex, love, or heartbreak, she’s writing about the many books that she loves to read. She has even admitted to having a fascination with “words”. She says there is no “rhyme or reason” to her creative process when making music. Some songs have taken her years to write, others within 15 minutes.

She plans on releasing numerous songs this year and has shows booked with The Chattanooga River Market, 4 Bridges Art Festival, The Kidney Foundation, and Shop The Market At.
