In a heartwarming initiative to support families in need, local owner-operators of the Greater Tennessee Valley McDonald’s Association have launched a new fundraiser, “Happy Meals for the House,” to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Chattanooga.
From May 20th to May 24th, 10% of all Happy Meal sales across more than 230 McDonald’s restaurants in the greater Chattanooga area will be donated to RMHC-Chattanooga.
The fundraiser aims to bolster the essential services provided by RMHC-Chattanooga, which offers a home-away-from-home for families with sick children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. The cost to house a family at the Ronald McDonald House is approximately $150 per night, yet the organization only requests $30 per night from the families, ensuring no one is turned away due to financial hardship.
The funds raised will help RMHC-Chattanooga continue its mission of providing stability and resources to families, allowing them to focus on the health and well-being of their children. The Ronald McDonald House offers a variety of services, including comfortable lodging, meals, and a supportive environment, all of which are crucial for families facing medical crises.
The “Happy Meals for the House” fundraiser not only highlights the community spirit of Chattanooga but also underscores the importance of corporate social responsibility. Every Happy Meal sold from May 20th to May 24th will directly contribute to keeping families close to their children when they need it most.
