Reginald VelJohnson Paid Tribute to Bruce Willis on “Dancing with the Stars”

The Celebrity Beat…

Reginald VelJohnson from “Family Matters” also played Sergeant Al Powell in the first two “Die Hard” movies.

And last night on “Dancing with the Stars”, he paid tribute to that role and to his co-star Bruce Willis.

He and his partner danced the paso doble to Beethoven‘s “Ode to Joy”, which was also used in the movie.  And his squad car was parked right on the dance floor.

He ended the dance with Bruce’s famous line, “Welcome to the party, pal.”

VelJohnson said, quote, “It was my first big film that I was in.  It was an experience I’ll never forget.  [Willis] was very kind to me in my first major role.  I thanked him for that, I always will.”
