Weight Loss Hack: Eat Like a Baby
If you’re trying to lose weight for beach season, you might want to go back to your roots: A nutritionist named Nicolette Pace is going viral for this diet advice: Try eating like a BABY.
Pace doesn’t mean eat baby food or drink formula, but wants you to think about HOW babies eat, and how they DON’T eat. Here are the three takeaways from this plan:
1. Eat every two to four hours. They obviously have to be smaller meals. Normal healthy-eating rules still apply. Go heavy on fruits, veggies, and whole grains. And in general, avoid meat.
2. Take your time. Eating slowly gives your brain time to register the fact that you’re feeling full. So go slow and chew every bite.
3. Avoid mindless munching. Babies don’t do it because well they are babies. For adults, it takes will power. Ask yourself WHY you’re eating. Are you actually hungry, or just bored?
