Matt Damon and Ken Jennings Won $1 Million for Charity on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”

The Celebrity Beat…

Matt Damon stuck it to his nemesis Jimmy Kimmel last night when he and “Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings won the $1 million grand prize on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”.

The money will be donated to Matt’s charity, Water.org.  Matt says it’ll help bring clean water to 200,000 people in need.

Sure, it’s probably a little bit easier to win when your partner is a professional at trivia, but the million-dollar question wasn’t an easy one.

It was, quote, “Which of these words is often used to describe one of the most beautiful auditory effects on Earth: the sound made by leaves of trees when wind blows through them?

The possible answers were Apricity, Petrichor, Susurrus, or Eudaemonia.  The guys used their 50/50 lifeline to arrive at the correct answer:  Susurrus.

Kimmel jokingly called their win the, quote, “least dramatic million-dollar moment in ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ history.”
