Hamilton County Schools Boost Connectivity with EdConnect Program:
Hamilton County is making strides to support students and families with the launch of the HCS EdConnect Program, powered by EPB. This initiative provides high-speed fiber internet access at no cost to qualifying families, ensuring approximately 18,000 students can now enjoy seamless online learning, access to community resources, telehealth services, and the ability to stay connected with teachers and classmates from home.
Are You Eligible?
Families with children who receive free or reduced lunch, attend schools where all students qualify for free or reduced lunch, or are enrolled in state assistance programs like SNAP are eligible to enroll. The goal is to make Hamilton County the best-connected school district, empowering students and families to unlock a world of opportunities.

Hamilton County Property Tax Estimates Coming Soon:
As families prepare for the upcoming year, residents in Hamilton County can now use a new online calculator provided by Chattamatters to estimate their 2025 property tax bills.
With nine of the ten municipalities setting their rates, and the City of Chattanooga’s rate proposal of $1.93 pending final approval on September 9, 2025, residents can get a clear idea of what to expect.
How to Use the Tax Calculator:
– Go to Chattamatters.com
– Find your property’s current appraised value on the Hamilton County Property Assessor’s website.
– Search by address (using proper formatting) or by owner’s name.
– Enter the value into the calculator to estimate your upcoming tax bill.

– Lakesite: $.1336
– Walden: $.3589
– East Ridge: $.7993
– Red Bank: $.98
– Collegedale: $1.069
– Soddy-Daisy: $1.10
– Signal Mountain: $1.1002
– Hamilton County: $1.5157
– Lookout Mountain: $1.63
– Chattanooga: $1.93 (proposed)
– Ridgeside: $2.186
Tax bills will be mailed starting in October, so residents are encouraged to check their property values and stay informed about local rate decisions.
