Gen Z Is Asking A.I. Chatbots to Help Diagnose STDs

According to a new survey of Gen Z adults ages 18 to 29, 20% say they have asked A.I. chatbots about STIs or STDs.  And about 10% admit they have asked an A.I. chatbot to help diagnose an STI or STD.

On one hand, searching for answers is better than ignoring a problem, I guess . . . but on the other, nothing can compare to ACTUALLY ASKING A DOCTOR.

Among the Gen Z’ers who asked A.I., and then later got tested, 31% say the chatbot misdiagnosed them . . . even though more than half say they included photos, along with all of the symptoms they were experiencing.

But despite the hit-or-miss results, people seem FINE with asking A.I.

Overall, 92% of Gen Z’ers who used A.I. for sexual health questions say they are “likely to do it again.”  And 35% say they’re “more comfortable talking to an A.I. chatbot than to a medical professional.”
