A beloved Chattanooga brewery is expanding its offerings with the opening of a new casual dining concept just in time for spring. Five Wits Brewing Company is launching Five Wits Pizza Joint, a neighborhood-focused spot serving classic, thin-crust bar pizza inspired by traditional tavern styles.

The idea behind the new venture emerged from an opportunity to activate the underused space in the Barrelhouse Ballroom building. Known for hosting vibrant live music events, the venue’s front entrance had remained closed to the public since its initial opening. Now, with the addition of the pizza joint, visitors can enjoy fresh pizza and cold drinks right on Main Street, without the need for a concert ticket.

The menu features straightforward, well-executed pizzas that emphasize quality ingredients and simplicity. The pizzas are thin, crispy, and cooked thoroughly—avoiding trendy gimmicks like sourdough or wood-fired claims. Toppings are generously applied edge-to-edge, offering a crave-worthy experience with no crusted rims, making it ideal for pairing with a variety of beers.

Designed to complement the brewery’s selection of lagers and pale ales, the pizza joint aims to serve as a versatile spot for lunch, afternoon drinks, or a pre-show snack. Located at the building’s main entrance, it provides easy street access and connects to the adjacent Long Street patio, creating a lively outdoor space for daytime and evening gatherings.

Open daily for lunch and dinner, Five Wits Pizza Joint will also offer early access for concert ticket holders, who can enjoy pre-show bites and drinks in a relaxed setting.
