The Celebrity Beat…

We finally know who will take Stephen Colbert’s time slot after “The Late Show” airs its finale on May 21st.  “Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen” will take over starting May 22nd.

Byron is actually PAYING CBS for the time slot.  And he’s paying for the following hour as well, to air his comedy game show, “Funny You Should Ask”.

He says, quote, “I created and launched ‘Comics Unleashed’ 20 years ago so my fellow comedians could have a platform to do what we all love, make people laugh. I truly appreciate CBS’ confidence in me by picking up our two-hour comedy block because the world can never have enough laughter.”
