Hits 96 welcomed a special guest this week as Toronto, Canada singer-songwriter Armando stopped by to visit with Gino D.

While at the station, Armando recorded an upcoming episode of The Proximity Playlist with Gino D, where he shared the story behind his music, his songwriting process, and what it’s been like taking his sound on the road. After recording the podcast, he jumped on the air LIVE to invite Chattanooga listeners to an intimate acoustic performance at The Whiskey Thief.

Armando and The Big City Night Band are currently making their way across Tennessee on a mini US tour. The run kicked off in Nashville before making a stop in Chattanooga. From here, they’ll head to Manchester and Murfreesboro, before wrapping up the tour back in Nashville.

The timing couldn’t be better, as Armando is also shining a spotlight on his latest single, “4th of July,” just in time for the holiday weekend. The feel-good track captures the energy and nostalgia of summer and is the perfect addition to any Independence Day playlist.

If you missed his visit to the station, you’ll have another chance to hear more from Armando when his full conversation with Gino D premieres on The Proximity Playlist on Friday, July 10, at 6:00 p.m. Be sure to tune in to hear more about his musical journey, his latest releases, and what’s next for the Canadian artist.

To keep up with Armando, stream his music, check out upcoming tour dates, and follow his journey, visit ARMANDOMUSIC.COM and connect with him on social media.

From all of us at Hits 96, thanks to Armando for stopping by the studio, and we wish him and The Big City Night Band safe travels as they continue their Tennessee tour!
