Discover New Books with The Book & Cover!

Nestled in Chattanooga, The Book & Cover stands as a beacon for curious readers and literary enthusiasts alike. An independent bookstore dedicated to fostering a love for reading and exploration, The Book & Cover invites you to immerse yourself in a welcoming environment where stories come alive, ideas flourish, and connections are made.

At The Book & Cover, their guiding principles are simple yet powerful: “read books” and “stay curious.” They believe that books have the power to inspire, educate, and transform. Their goal is to create a space that encourages curiosity, where visitors can browse a thoughtfully curated selection of books and products, enjoy a warm cup of coffee, nibble on a fresh pastry, and connect with fellow readers in a lively, passionate community.

The founders of The Book & Cover,  Blaes, Emily, and Sarah were inspired by the classic film You’ve Got Mail, and they envisioned a place where book lovers could gather, dream, and discover. It was on Blaes’ front porch in November 2020 that they officially expressed this dream to each other. Thanks to the support of early backers and a successful IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign, The Book & Cover opened its doors in November 2021—fulfilling a heartfelt desire to build a community-centered bookstore.
