A Hotel Canceled a Traveler’s Reservation, Because the Deal They Got Was Too Good?

If you like looking for a bargain, there’s nothing greater than scoring a great deal.  But what happens when the deal is TOO good?

A traveler online says that they booked a hotel for an international trip through Expedia, and got a great price.  But then the hotel called them directly . . . and asked them to cancel it, because the rate was “too low.”

The customer went back to Expedia, and was told that their trip was confirmed and that the hotel should honor it, as long as the traveler DOESN’T CANCEL.

The hotel told the traveler that they would not accommodate them if they showed up to the establishment. With this being international trip to the Middle East, the person didn’t feel comfortable having a booking with a HOSTILE HOTEL and elected to cancel the trip. Thankfully Expedia reimbursed the traveler, and gave them a bonus credit for the hassle.

In a statement to Fox News, Expedia said, “If a partner consistently provides a poor traveler experience, we investigate and address the issue directly.”
