An Inmate Snuck Off for a Conjugal Visit in a Porta-Potty

An inmate in Florida is facing new charges after he snuck away from a work assignment to GET IT ON inside a portable toilet. Indian River County Jail is in Vero Beach, Florida. The Sheriff’s Office had a barbecue fundraiser last Wednesday. (Vero Beach is on the East Coast, about 90 miles southeast of Orlando.)

A bunch of low-level inmates called “trustees” got to work the event. One of them was 35-year-old Hartley Sanchez, who was serving food . . . until he snuck off mid-shift. Security cameras caught him on video talking to two women near a bank of porta-potties. Then one of the women went into a porta-potty. And after “checking if the coast was clear,” he joined her.

It turned out she’s a former inmate. It’s not clear if she knew Hartley before their encounter, or if it was just a fling. But he was questioned about it and freely admitted they went in there and got it on. (Talk about doing the “nasty.”)

SHE’S apparently not in any trouble. But Hartley is in much bigger trouble than he was before. He’s been in jail awaiting trial for theft and drug possession. Now he’s also facing charges for attempting to “escape.”

Under Florida law, even leaving a work assignment for a few minutes can qualify as an escape attempt. He’s facing up to 15 YEARS in prison for it.

Here’s his mugshot.
