In response to the cancellation of two of Chattanooga’s major music festivals, Five Wits Brewing Company and Barrelhouse Ballroom have united to create a new event, the first annual Locals Only Music Festival. This two-day celebration, set for October 12th & 13th, 2024, will highlight 16 of the city’s top local bands and musicians.
The festival’s purpose is to raise awareness of Chattanooga’s vibrant music scene and to foster a supportive community for local artists. The event will be held across two stages at Five Wits Brewing Company and Barrelhouse Ballroom, offering attendees a chance to enjoy a diverse array of musical talent, local vendors, food, and drinks.
Headlining the festival on Saturday night will be YGTUT & The Plugs, alongside The Afternooners. Sunday night’s lineup will feature Behold The Brave and Strung Like a Horse. Other notable acts include Land Camera, Red Pawn, Dos Fuegos, The Bohannons, Et Cetera, Danimal Planet, LVNDR, Rick Rushing, Lon Eldridge, Luke Simmons & The Lovestruck, KillaKeyz, and Milele Roots.
The festival organizers, known for their dedication to Chattanooga’s local food, beverage, music, and arts scenes, are eager to showcase the city’s talent. They hope that the event will inspire attendees to continue supporting these bands at other local venues throughout the year.
Tickets for the Locals Only Music Festival are priced at $50 for a two-day pass, with prices increasing to $60 on the day of the event. As space is limited, early purchase is encouraged. For more details, including the full lineup and schedule, visit barrelhouseballroom.com.
