Being Outside Boosts Positive Body Image
Chattanooga, Tennessee— (Study Finds)
Scientist found that spending time outside can improve how people feel about their own body. Other studies have found that parks, forests, lakes and rivers, can improve body image. Now they’ve found even the weather doesn’t matter. Researchers sent 87 women outside into parks, snowy areas and near water. They found those who spent time outside had positive body image, compared to those who didn’t. Experts say being outside shifts the attention away from the aesthetic view of our body to the functionality of it.
