Can TikTok’s “Bird Theory” Predict Your Relationship Is Doomed?

Getting advice from TikTok is always dicey, but people are into this:  Have you seen the “BIRD THEORY” videos that are all over social media?

It’s a test that’s supposed to show how strong your relationship it.  Someone came up with it a few years ago, but it’s blowing up.  Google says searches for it just hit an all-time high.  Searches for “I saw a bird today” are also trending.

So what is it?  “Bird theory” or “the bird test” is supposed to show how interested your partner is in the things YOU care about even when they’re boring. All you do is tell them, “I saw a bird today” and try to sound enthusiastic.  Like, you’re kind of EXCITED you saw this bird.

If they match your excitement and ask questions like “what kind of bird,” it means they’re a keeper.  If they don’t engage at all, you’re doomed. It’s mostly women doing it to men.  You can make it harder by waiting until he’s distracted.  Like try it while he’s playing a game or watching the World Series.
