Can You Take Expired Ozempic?

There are some medications that can be taken after their expiration date, is Ozempic one of them? Taking the expired type 2 diabetes medication is not good idea because it can be less effective and cause infections if bacteria has started to grow inside the fluid

There’s a greater chance of contamination with each day past expiration. If you don’t know when  your medication expires the injection pen or vial comes with an expiration date.

You should also check storage instructions. If your Ozempic has expired, or if it’s cloudy or contains floating particles, get rid of it. If you have any questions you should contact your healthcare provider or pharmacy.
