On Monday's (December 12th) episode of the SmartLess podcast, Emily Blunt revealed that Tom Cruise told her to "stop being such a p—y" while the pair were filming Edge of Tomorrow. Blunt shared that she was struggling with her 85-pound costume, and Cruise "didn't know what to do."

"We had to wear these enormous suits, which I think would've been great if we had CGI'd them, but we wanted to do it in a tactile way," she said. "When you hear the word ‘tactile,' you think that sounds nice and cozy. There was nothing cozy about these suits. It was like 85 pounds. It was so heavy. The first time I put it on I started to cry, and Cruise didn't know what to do."

So, naturally, Cruise stared at her "for a long time," she said. "He goes, ‘Come on, stop being such a p—y, OK?'" Blunt added that this made her laugh.

Five Women In New York Are Suing Bill Cosby For Sexual Assault

Five women are suing Bill Cosby, NBCUniversal, Carsey-Werner and Kaufman Astoria Studios under a New York law that temporarily lifts the statute of limitations on sexual assault claims.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the suit alleges that the companies facilitated sexual assault by "bestowing Bill Cosby with the power or the appearance of power at The Cosby Show." It also claims that they either knew or should have known that the comedian was "sexually abusing, assaulting, and/or battering women, including on their premises, but did nothing to stop it."

The allegations made by Lili Bernard, Eden Tirl, Jewel Gittens, and Jennifer Thompson date back to the late 1980s and early 1990s. Cindra Ladd says she met Cosby in 1969 and they were platonic friends until he drugged and raped her.

Cosby's spokesperson Andrew V. Wyatt sent The Hollywood Reporter a statement in response to the suit, which said the plaintiffs are unwilling to accept that Cosby "was vindicated by the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court almost a year and a half ago." He says, "As we have always stated, and now America can see, this isn't about justice for victims of alleged sexual assault, it's ALL ABOUT MONEY. We believe that the courts, as well as the court of public opinion, will follow the rules of law and relieve Mr. Cosby of these alleged accusations. Mr. Cosby continues to vehemently deny all allegation waged against him and looks forward to defending himself in court."

Kirstie Alley Dies At 71

On Monday night (December 5th), Kirstie Alley's children announced via her social media pages that the Cheers actress had died after a short battle with colon cancer. She was 71 years old.

"To all our friends, far and wide around the world… We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered," her children wrote. "She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead."

Alley was a two-time Emmy Award winner who was most known for her roles on TV shows like Cheers, Veronica's Closet, and Fat Actress. She also was recognized for her work in the Look Who's Talking film trilogy.

The news of Alley's death came as a shock to many in Hollywood. Ted Danson, who starred alongside Alley on Cheers, said in a statement to People, "I was on a plane today and did something I rarely do. I watched an old episode of ‘Cheers' … It was the episode where Tom Berenger proposes to Kirstie, who keeps saying no, even though she desperately wants to say yes." Bill Cosby Is Sued By Five Women For Sexual Assault In New York

Under New York's new look-back law, which passed last month, five women are suing Bill Cosby for sexual assault and abuse that occurred decades ago. Two of the women, Lili Bernard and Eden Tirl, are former actresses on The Cosby Show.

The 34-page lawsuit states, "Each plaintiff was sexually assaulted and battered by defendant Bill Cosby in the same or similar manner when he used his power, fame, and prestige, including the power, fame and prestige given to him by the defendants … to misuse his enormous power in such a nefarious, horrific way."

A spokesperson for Cosby has denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit "frivolous."

Hilary Duff is shedding light on how Hollywood affects women's relationships to their bodies. The How I Met Your Father actress got candid about a "horrifying" eating disorder she developed when she was 17 in a recent interview with Women's Health Australia.

GUEST HOSTS FOR ‘THE DAILY SHOW' ARE ANNOUNCED: As The Daily Show prepares for Trevor Noah's exit on Thursday (December 8th), Comedy Central announced on Tuesday (December 6th) that a number of guest hosts are set to take his place when the show returns in January 17th. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the list includes Al Franken, Chelsea Handler, D.L. Hughley, Leslie Jones, John Leguizamo, Hasan Minhaj, Kal Penn, Sarah Silverman, Wanda Sykes, and Marlon Wayans. THERE WILL NOT BE A SEQUEL FOR ‘THE HOLIDAY:' Despite the rumors floating around that a sequel was in the works for the movie The Holiday, both Kate Winslet and the film's director, Nancy Meyers, have denied the claims. Meyers wrote on Instagram Tuesday (December 6th), "So many DM's about this - sorry but it's not true." Winslet told Entertainment Tonight, "I know, sadly it's not true." The Mare of Easttown actress added, "It would be so fun to see Mile and Iris get back together. AVA DUVERNAY BECOMES THE FIRST BLACK WOMAN FEATURED ON A PINT OF BEN & JERRY'S ICE CREAM: Selma director Ava DuVernay has become the first Black woman to appear on a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. DuVernay shared the news on the Today show Tuesday (December 6th), adding that her favorite part is the name of the flavor. "It's 'Lights! Caramel! Action!'" she said. "I love that." The Official Trailer For 'Harry & Meghan' Has Arrived

The wait is over … On Monday (December 5th) Netflix released the official trailer for Harry & Meghan, a six-episode docuseries about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The series will be released in two volumes: the first on December 8th and the second on December 15th.

In the trailer, Harry and Meghan comment on the trials and tribulations they experienced as part of the royal family. "There's a hierarchy of the family," Harry says. "You know, there's leaking, but there's also planting of stories. It's a dirty game."

Commenting on what Harry refers to as "the pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution," Meghan says, "I realized, they're never going to protect you."

Harry also shares that he "was terrified" and "didn't want history to repeat itself," thinking of his mother Princess Diana. "No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth," he adds.
