Disgraced former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell and his wife Janet Von Schmeling are going their separate ways after four years of marriage. According to Page Six, the pair are headed for divorce, and Bell has begun treatment.

This comes after the Drake & Josh star was seen huffing balloons in his car in December, with his young son in the back seat. A source told the outlet that Von Schmeling has “had enough.”

Bell also pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service for child endangerment in 2017, after a woman accused him of sexually abusing her when she was 15. “He was calculating. He preyed on me and sexually abused me,” she said during the hearing. “He is a monster and a danger to children.”

ROBIN ROBERTS AND AMBER LAIGN TO MARRY IN 2023: On Monday’s (January 2nd) episode of Good Morning America, Robin Roberts shared that she and her girlfriend of nearly 18 years, Amber Laign, are going to get hitched in 2023. “I’m saying yes to marriage. We’re getting married this year,” she said. Roberts added that the pair “talked about” marriage in the past but decided to “put it off” once Laign was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. ‘1899’ CANCELLED AFTER ONE SEASON: According to Deadline, the Netflix mystery thriller 1899 has been scrapped after just one season. Co-showrunners Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar announced the news on Monday (January 2nd), writing, “With a heavy heart we have to tell you that 1899 will not be renewed. We would have loved to finish this incredible journey with a 2nd and 3rd season as we did with Dark. But sometimes things don’t turn out the way you planned.”

GEORGE R.R. MARTIN SAYS SOME ‘GAME OF THRONES’ SPINOFFS HAVE BEEN SHELVED: Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin announced on his blog recently that some of the show’s potential spinoffs have been shelved, while others remain in development. He wrote that he is working on “several of the other [Game of Thrones] successor shows that we’re developing with HBO. (Some of those are moving faster than others, as is always the case with development. None have been greenlit yet, though we are hoping … maybe soon. A couple have been shelved, but I would not agree that they are dead. You can take something off the shelf as easily as you can put it on the shelf. All the changes at HBO Max have impacted us, certainly).”

Anthony Hopkins didn’t just celebrate the New Year over the weekend—he also celebrated a monumental 47 years of sobriety. The Hannibal actor shared a video to Instagram on Thursday (December 29th) to announce the news.

“I’m celebrating 47 years today of sobriety,” he said. “This is a message not meant to be heavy, but I hope helpful. I am a recovering alcoholic. And to you out there — I know there are people struggling. In this day and age of cancel and hatred and non-compromise, children being bullied, I say… Be kind to yourself. Be kind. Stay out of the circle of toxicity with people, if they offend you. Live your life. Be proud of your life.”

The Meet Joe Black actor wanted to share this message to encourage others to seek help if they need it. “Forty seven years ago I was in a desperate situation, in despair and probably not long to live. I just had to acknowledge one day that there was something really wrong with me,” he said. “Depression is part of being alive, sometimes as is anxiety. Life is tough. But if you need help with any addiction or problem, talk to someone. Talk to someone you respect, whether it’s a counselor or to go to a 12-step program. It doesn’t cost a thing, but it will give you a whole new life,” Hopkins added.

ANDY COHEN ASKS NICK CANNON IF HE’S PLANNING ON GETTING A VASECTOMY: Andy Cohen went there with Nick Cannon on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special Saturday night (December 31st). The Watch What Happens Live host asked Cannon if he planned on getting a vasectomy, after Cannon welcomed his 12th child to the world with Alyssa Scott earlier this month. KATHY GRIFFIN CRITICIZES ANDY COHEN BEFORE NEW YEAR’S EVE BROADCAST: On Saturday (December 31st), Kathy Griffin shared an old video of Andy Cohen pretending to not know who she is after he took over her hosting duties for CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live show. “Ugh. The photo shows Arsema Thomas playing a young Lady Danbury. The series is expected to focus on Queen Charlotte’s rise to power. 

T.J. Holmes filed for divorce from his second wife, Marilee Fiebig, on Wednesday (December 28th) in New York City. This comes after the news broke in November that he and his GMA3 co-host Amy Robach were allegedly having an affair. The pair have been photographed together a few times since.

Holmes and Fiebig were married for 12 years, and together they share a nine-year-old daughter, Sabine.

A source previously told Page Six that Fiebig was "blindsided" by the news of Holmes' relationship with Robach, though they had been separated for months. "She's devastated. She had no idea," the source said, adding that they "were just together for T.J.'s birthday on Aug. 19."

Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott announced the birth of their second child Thursday (December 29th). Their daughter, Halo Marie Cannon, was born on Wednesday (December 14th). She is the Wild ‘N Out star's 12th child overall.

Scott shared a touching video montage to Instagram that included footage from the delivery. "December 14, 2022. Our lives are forever changed," she captioned the post. The model also honored Zen, the baby she and Cannon lost to brain cancer last year at just five months old. "Zen is in every breath I take. I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he is watching down on us. He shows me signs every day. I will hold onto this memory forever," she wrote.

Scott added, "I will remember the sound of Nick's voice saying 'it's a girl' and the look of everything we've been through flash across his face. I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!"

KIM KARDASHIAN HAS A ‘FANTASY' ABOUT GETTING MARRIED A FOURTH TIME: Kim Kardashian spoke with Gwyneth Paltrow on The goop Podcast recently and said the "fourth time's a charm" when it comes to marriage. When Paltrow asked her if she would ever get married again, she responded, "I don't know," but added, "I have this fantasy in my head, like fourth's time's a charm, it's gonna — it's gonna work out."

JAMEELA JAMIL OPENS UP ABOUT EHLERS-DANLOS SYNDROME: The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil took to Instagram on Wednesday (December 28th) to share that she has a rare tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. After stretching the skin on her face and extending her arm, she said, "It pertains to my joints. As you can see, nothing bends the right way, everything bends the right and the wrong way." She said she wanted to inform people about of the disorder "in spite of the fact that people like to make fun of me over my health." The She-Hulk actress also wrote in the video caption, "Ps. Sorry I don't talk about this more often. The internet made fun of me over my health problems and it made me suicidal for a while. But they are just a bunch of ignorant arseholes who haven't a hundredth of our strength, they can't imagine surviving what we survive, so they choose to gaslight us about it all instead. COURTNEY LOVE SAYS SHE WAS FIRED FROM ‘FIGHT CLUB' FOR GOING ‘NUCLEAR' ON BRAD PITT: On a recent episode of the WTF With Marc Maron podcast, Courtney Love explained that she was fired from the 1999 movie Fight Club and replaced by Helena Bonham Carter because she didn't want Brad Pitt to play her late husband, Kurt Cobain, in a potential film. She recalled telling Pitt, "I don't know if I trust you, and I don't know that your movies are for profit. They're really good social justice movies, but … if you don't get me, you kind of don't get Kurt, and I don't feel like you do, Brad." She added, "I wouldn't let Brad play Kurt. I went nuclear. I don't do Faust. Who the f – – k do you think you are?" Apparently, Pitt approached her again about a Cobain biopic in 2020. "My friend Cameron Crowe told me Brad Pitt was put on this earth to stalk you for Kurt, which has been going on since 1996," she said.

ANDY COHEN CLARIFIES THAT HE WON'T BE DRINKING ON CNN'S NEW YEAR'S EVE BROADCAST: Andy Cohen told Page Six that this year's New Year's Eve broadcast on CNN will not be a repeat of last year's. "We aren't drinking, but we're going to have a blast," he said. This comes after the Watch What Happens Live host told Rolling Stone in an interview published Wednesday (December 28th), "CNN said the correspondents will not be drinking." He added, "Anderson and I will be the people partying on CNN though we will be partying responsibly. My job is to take Anderson out of his comfort zone and my job is to be a party ringleader for everyone watching us on New Year's Eve. And that is what I will continue to do. And as a matter of fact, If the correspondents are not drinking this year, I will be partying even harder on their behalf."

STARS HONOR FASHION DESIGNER VIVIENNE WESTWOOD: According to The Hollywood Reporter, many in Hollywood took to social media on Thursday (December 29th) to honor the late fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, who died "peacefully and surrounded by her family" at the age of 81. Juliette Lewis wrote of Westwood, "She was always creating for the future by looking unflinchingly and seeringly sic into the now … She didn't just question main stream age & beauty standards. She didn't even see or acknowledge them as having anything to do with the relevance and necessity for individualistic aesthetic expression." Lena Headey added, "I always felt safe with her in the world. Legend… Total legend. Wild and inspirational. It's all a bit more wonky now. Please still create magic, wherever you are."

Whoopi Goldberg is facing backlash for "doubling down" on the comments she made about the Holocaust earlier in the year. In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Goldberg once again claimed the Holocaust "wasn't originally" about race.

When The Sunday Times interviewer explained to her that "the Nazis measured the heads and noses of Jews to ‘prove' they were a distinct race," she replied, "They did that to Black people too. But it doesn't change the fact that you could not tell a Jew on a street. You could find me. You couldn't find them. That was the point I was making. But you would have thought that I'd taken a big old stinky dump on the table, butt naked."

The Ghost actress issued a statement Tuesday (December 27th) after receiving criticism for the interview. "It was never my intention to appear as if I was doubling down on hurtful comments, especially after talking with and hearing people like rabbis and old and new friends weighing in," she said.

"I'm still learning a lot and believe me, I heard everything everyone said to me. I believe that the Holocaust was about race, and I am still as sorry now as I was then that I upset, hurt and angered people," The View co-host added.

On Tuesday's (December 27th) episode of Brooke Shields' Now What? podcast, Chelsea Handler opened up about her breakup with Jo Koy earlier this year.

"There were just some behaviors that we couldn't agree on, and it felt to me like I would have to abandon myself—which maybe I would have been OK to do if I were 20 or 25—but I wasn't willing to do that," she said. "No matter how much I loved this person, and I loved him so much, I was not going to abandon myself."

BILL COSBY IS PLANNING A COMEDY TOUR IN 2023: Disgraced comedian Bill Cosby is planning to tour again in 2023, according to Variety. This comes after he was convicted of sexual assault in 2018 but was subsequently released in 2021, after the conviction was overturned by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. "When I come out of this, I feel that I will be able to perform and be the Bill Cosby that my audience knows me to be," Cosby said on the WGH Talk show recently. When asked by host Scott Spears if he would tour in 2023, he said, "Yes. Yes, because there's so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do."

‘AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER' SURPASSES $1 BILLION GLOBALLY IN FIRST TWO WEEKS: According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water has become the sixth film ever to cross the $1 billion mark globally in its first two weeks. The movie reached this milestone on Tuesday (December 27th), and it is the first to do so since Spider Man: No Way Home in December 2021.

On Tuesday's (December 27th) episode of Emily Ratajkowski's podcast High Low with EmRata, Bella Thorne recalled a disturbing experience she had with a director when she was a child.

The Shake It Up actress said she didn't get a part once because the director "felt like she was flirting with him" when she was only 10 years old. In response to this, Thorne told Ratajkowski, "What the f--- are you talking about, man? I don't give a f--- what I said. I don't care if I said, 'Eat my p---y right now' — she is 10 years old! Why ever would you think that? Why?"

Thorne added that she revisits this moment "every day." She continued, "I'm trying to find, almost, fault in myself. Like, 'What did you do, Bella? What did you do that made him feel like this?' Drew Barrymore got candid about her past struggles with alcohol in an interview with People published on Tuesday (December 27th). The Scream actress said drinking helped "numb the pain" after she split from Will Kopelman in 2016.

Barrymore said she "broke" after the pair's "excruciating" breakup. "It just took me down," she said, sharing that alcohol made her feel better. "It was just trying to … feel good — and alcohol totally did that for me."

STEPHEN GREIF DIES AT 78: Deadline reports that The Crown actor Stephen Greif has passed away at the age of 78. His family shared the news via Twitter but did not reveal a cause of death. In addition to his work on the fourth season of The Crown, Greif appeared on shows such as Blake's 7, Citizen Smith, and EastEnders. He also held roles in films such as The Woman in Gold, Casanova (2005), The Upside of Anger, and Spartan (2004).

RYAN SEACREST THINKS CNN LIMITING ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION DURING NEW YEAR'S EVE BROADCAST IS A ‘GOOD IDEA:' In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ryan Seacrest said he approves of CNN's decision to limit drinking on their New Year's Eve broadcast this year. "I don't advocate drinking when one is on the air. I don't know how that started as a tradition but it's probably a good idea to scale back, CNN," Seacrest said. Joking about the show's hosts, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen, he added, "There's some pretty respectable people or at least one, right? I think there's a serious journalist and then a friend of mine who has a lot of fun, but it's probably a good idea." This comes after Cohen made fun of Seacrest during last year's broadcast, during which Cohen was clearly inebriated. "If you look behind me, you'll see Ryan Seacrest's group of losers performing. I'm sorry but if you're watching ABC, you're watching nothing," Cohen said at the time.

On Monday's (December 26th) episode of the Angie Martinez IRL podcast, Kim Kardashian broke into tears as she shared the difficulty she's experienced co-parenting with Kanye "Ye" West.

"Co-parenting is hard," she told Martinez. "It's really f—king hard." Kardashian and West share four children: nine-year-old North, seven-year-old Saint, four-year-old Chicago, and three-year-old Psalm.

Regarding West's controversial behavior, including the repeated antisemitic remarks he's made recently, she said she tries to protect her children from the negativity. Kelly Rizzo took to Instagram over the weekend to remember the last Christmas she spent with her late husband, Bob Saget.

RELEASE DATE IS ANNOUNCED FOR CHRIS ROCK'S LIVE NETFLIX SPECIAL: Deadline reports that Chris Rock's stand-up special, Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, is set to air live on Netflix on March 4th, 2023. The event will be filmed in Baltimore, Maryland, and will become the first-ever live streaming event for the platform.

The 60th anniversary episodes are set to air in November 2023.
