The legal battle between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp is far from over. Months after Depp was awarded more than $10 million in his defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, the Aquaman actress filed an appeal to have a new trial.

"The trial court improperly prevented the jury from considering several separate instances in which Heard reported Depp's abuse to a medical professional," her lawyers wrote in a 68-page document.

The document continued, "If not reversed, the trial court's exclusion of contemporaneous reports of domestic abuse to medical professionals will make it more difficult for other abuse victims to prove allegations of abuse, and likely deter them from coming forward."

Heard's attorneys also claim that the trial should have taken place in California, where the pair once lived together, rather than Virginia, where The Washington Post has its servers.

On Friday (December 2nd), Nick Cannon shared photos of himself in a hospital bed and revealed that he had come down with pneumonia. The Drumline actor was diagnosed with Lupus 10 years ago.

"Okay, so I guess I'm not Superman… I promised myself I would never be back at this place again… But this is a great lesson to take care of YOU or YOU won't be able to take care of everyone else," he captioned the post.

"Don't trip though," he continued, telling fans that he didn't need "any well wishes or prayers , just some solid rest."

Cannon added that this illness comes after performing a sold-out Wild ‘n Out show at Madison Square Garden. "Crazy thing is, last night we was just rocking a sold out crowd at Madison square garden in front of thousands of fans, now I'm all alone in a tiny hospital room. Life is definitely a rollercoaster! #LupusWarrior," he wrote.

Following Kanye "Ye" West's ongoing antisemitic remarks, Natalie Portman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jamie Lee Curtis have all publicly denounced this kind of rhetoric.

In an Instagram post shared over the weekend, Portman wrote, "Seeing the re-emergence of antisemitism makes my heart drop." The Thor: Love and Thunder actress added, "This hatred must be combatted with boundless love for each other. Today, I send love to all my fellow Jews. And I send love to all those standing with us against these violent words and actions. It's been painful and frightening to listen to, and I'm extremely grateful to those who continue to speak up against antisemitism with us, and against all forms of racism."

Curtis shared a tweet from Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, which refers to West as a "vicious antisemite." She captioned the post with a quote from Elie Wiesel: "We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented."

Jimmy Kimmel also addressed West's remarks on Friday's (December 2nd) episode of his show, calling him a "Black white supremacist."

According to Deadline, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever "overperformed" at the domestic box office this past weekend, bringing in $17.59 million. Violent Night also saw a successful debut during what is usually a slow weekend. The horror Christmas film came in second place with $13.3 million, surpassing its projected $10-12 million.

BOB MCGRATH DIES AT 90: According to The Hollywood Reporter, original Sesame Street cast member Bob McGrath has passed away at the age of 90. His family announced the news via his Facebook page on Sunday (December 4th). "Our father Bob McGrath, passed away today. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family," they wrote. McGrath was one of the four non-Muppet actors on Sesame Street when it debuted in 1969, and he remained on the show until the 46th season. Many in Hollywood took to social media to honor him.

BRAD WILLIAM HENKE DIES AT 56: Variety reports that Orange is the New Black actor Brad William Henke passed away on Tuesday (November 29th) at the age of 56. His cause of death has not yet been revealed. Henke was a former NFL player who later became an actor, playing on the defensive line for the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXIV. In addition to Orange is the New Black, he also held roles on Going to California, Justified, Lost, and Dexter, among other shows. His film credits include Split, Pee-wee's Big Holiday, Pacific Rim, and Must Love Dogs.

‘EMANCIPATION' PRODUCER APOLOGIZES FOR BRINGING PHOTO OF ENSLAVED MAN TO PREMIERE: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joey McFarland, the producer of the new film Emancipation, starring Will Smith, has issued an apology for bringing a photo of the enslaved man who inspired the film to the film's premiere. JOHN LEGUIZAMO SAYS IT WAS AN ‘ODD EXPERIENCE' TO SEE AL PACINO PLAY A PUERTO RICAN ON ‘CARLITO'S WAY:' In a recent interview with Insider, John Leguizamo described his experience watching Al Pacino play a Puerto Rican character on the set of Carlito's Way. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this film is the final adventure for the team and director James Gunn who has left the MCU to take a job as an executive at DC Studios. INDIANA JONES 5 REVEALS TITLE IN NEW TRAILER: The trailer for Indiana Jones 5 reveals a de-aged Harrison Ford as well as the film's official title. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny hits theaters on June 30th, 2023.

Matthew McConaughey opened up to People about aiding his hometown following the Uvalde shooting.

He told the outlet that within 40 seconds of finding out the news that a gunman had killed 21 people, including 19 children, his wife Camila had already decided to get on a plane and head to the Texas town.

The Wolf of Wall Street actor said, "When we went to Uvalde, we both didn't know where or how we would be needed most, but once we arrived it became clear that our connection was with the families — and especially Camila with the mothers. She became a support system for them, and even now, long after we have left, she still maintains that support when needed."

The people of Uvalde, he says, asked them to stick around longer so he brought in his own kids and his older brother Rooster's family.

He told the outlet, "I would say 100 percent of the families we talked to really wanted to embrace. They didn't want a handshake. They would quickly bypass the open hand and just come in for a hug. ROBERT DE NIRO JOINS NETFLIX SERIES: Robert De Niro has signed on for the Netflix limited series, Zero Day. Variety reports that the Casino actor will play a former President of the United States in the streamer's political thriller.

On Tuesday (November 29th), Kim Kardashian and Kanye "Ye" West finalized their divorce after nearly two years. The pair will have joint custody and "equal access" to their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

However, a source close to Kardashian told TMZ that she would take care of the kids 80 percent of the time, as West admitted was already the case in September. West will also have to pay Kardashian $200,000 a month in child support. The "Heartless" singer will also provide 50 percent of the children's education and security expenses.

The former couple agreed to attend mediation if they disagree on any decision regarding their four kids in the future. If either Kardashian or West miss a mediation, the participating party will get to decide how to resolve that particular issue.

Trevor Noah interviewed Will Smith on The Daily Show Monday night (November 29th) and asked him about the night he slapped Chris Rock at the 94th annual Academy Awards. This marked Smith's first late-night interview since the incident took place in March.

"That was a horrific night, as you can imagine. You know, there's many nuances and complexities to it. But at the end of the day, I just -- I lost it, you know?" Smith said, getting emotional.

He continued, "You just never know what somebody's going through, you know?" The Men in Black actor shared that he was "going through something that night. Not that that justifies my behavior at all."

Smith later added that he "was gone" after he attacked Rock onstage. "That was a rage that had been bottled for a really long time," he said, referring to his childhood trauma—which he admitted was misplaced on Rock that night.

Hailey Bieber opened up about a large and painful cyst that she has on one of her ovaries Monday (November 28th). The model shared a photo of her stomach to her Instagram stories to share the unfortunate news, letting fans know that it's "not a baby."

"I have a cyst on my ovary the size of an apple," she captioned the photo. "I don't have endometriosis or PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) but I have gotten an ovarian cyst a few times and it's never fun."

Jackson appeared on The View Tuesday (November 29th) and responded to Quentin Tarantino's recent remarks about the effects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Hollywood., The Kill Bill creator said movie stars have disappeared due to the "Marvel-ization of Hollywood" on a recent episode of the 2 Bears, 1 Cave podcast.

Jackson seemed to scoff at this. "It takes an actor to be those particular characters, and the sign of movie stardom has always been, what, asses in seats?" he commented. "What are we talking about?"

The Pulp Fiction actor added, "That's not a big controversy for me to know that apparently these actors are movie stars. Chadwick Boseman is Black Panther. You can't refute that, and he's a movie star."

This comes after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor Simu Liu tweeted last week, "If the only gatekeepers to movie stardom came from Tarantino and Scorsese, I would never have had the opportunity to lead a $400 million plus movie."

CLARENCE GILYARD JR. DIES AT 66: According to Deadline, Top Gun and Die Hard star Clarence Gilyard Jr. has passed away at the age of 66. The University of Nevada Las Vegas' College of Fine Arts, where he worked as a film and theater professor, announced the news but did not yet announce a cause of death. Gilyard's career in film, television, and theater spanned over 30 years, and his first movie role was playing Sundown in 1986's Top Gun. He also starred on television shows such as Matlock and Walker, Texas Ranger. The Dean of the University of Nevada Las Vegas said in a statement, "His students were deeply inspired by him, as were all who knew him. He had many extraordinary talents and was extremely well-known in the university through his dedication to teaching and his professional accomplishments."

A SURPRISING AMOUNT OF ‘WEDNESDAY' FANS DIDN'T KNOW CHRISTINA RICCI PLAYED ORIGINAL CHARACTER: People are loving the new Addam's Family spinoff Wednesday on Netflix—but some are just coming to realize that Christina Ricci, who plays Ms. Thornhill on the Tim Burton-directed series, starred as Wednesday in the original movies. "the woman who plays Ms. thornhill in ‘Wednesday' on netflix played wednesday addams in the movies from the 1990s! i thought that was so cool," one person wrote on Twitter. ZOE SALDANA SAYS FIRST ‘AVATAR' MOVIE MADE HER ‘MORE AWARE' OF CLIMATE CHANGE: Zoe Saldana appeared on Good Morning America Monday (November 28th) and commented on her hopes for the highly anticipated Avatar sequel, The Way of Water. She also shared how the first movie changed her perspective on the environment when it debuted 13 years ago. "I hope it's well received because it was certainly special for me to be a part of it and to have worked with the people I've worked with to be aging with them growing with them in this industry the opportunities that it opened for me … But also the conversation that it started even for somebody like me about the environment," she said.
