Sharon Stone is emphasizing the importance of getting a second opinion when it comes to medical diagnoses. On Tuesday (November 1st), the Basic Instinct actress took to her Instagram stories to share that she "just had another misdiagnosis and incorrect procedure."

When the pain got worse after receiving a "double epidural," Stone said she sought a second opinion. That's when doctors found "a large fibroid tumor that must come out."

The Casino actress added, "Ladies in particular: Don't get blown off GET A SECOND OPINION It can save your life. I'll be down for 4-6 weeks for full recovery. Thx for your care. It's all good."

On Tuesday's (November 1st) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Mindy Kaling opened up about a "scary" situation she found herself in when she was eight months pregnant.

"I went to dinner with my friend B.J. Novak. We drove to Silverlake to go to this great Thai restaurant there. He parked the car and we got out of the car, I noticed there was kind of like a weird kind of guy kind of staring at us from by the parking meter of the car," she told Kimmel.

"When we got out, he was like, 'Hey, love you guys in The Office!" Kaling said. "He's just a nice man who loves The Office and I'm sitting here being like, That guy shouldn't be staring at us." However, the pair later discovered that the man had broken into Novak's car.

Deciding to confront him, Kaling body-blocked the driver's side of the car so he couldn't get out. "My sense of justice was greater than my sense of wanting to live," she joked.

The Mindy Project creator continued, "Then B.J. went to their side, and was like, 'What did you take?' The guy kept looking over at the door to try to get out. I was sitting there like, 'You're not going anywhere.' Finally, B.J. got his laptop back and all of his stuff and he nodded to me, like, 'You can open the door and let him out.'"

She added that after the guy got out of the car, he said, "You guys should be careful. Anybody could just get into your car."

MARLO THOMAS ‘FAT SHAMED' SHERRI SHEPHERD: According to Page Six, staffers on Sherri went into "mama bear mode" when That Girl actress Marlo Thomas "fat shamed" Sherri Shepherd on Tuesday's (November 1st) episode. RANDALL EMMETT IS SUED FOR RACIAL DISCRIMINATION BY FORMER ASSISTANT: Deadline reports that Lone Survivor producer Randall Emmett is facing a discrimination and hostile workplace lawsuit filed by Martin G'Blae, a former assistant of his. The complaint reads in part, "G'Blae was unlawfully terminated due to his race, religion, and disability; in retaliation for requesting reasonable accommodations for his disability; in retaliation for complaining of racial harassment; in retaliation for complaining of unpaid wages; and complaining of and resisting numerous unlawful and unsafe activities and instructions."

AUBREY PLAZA JOINS THE CAST OF ‘AGATHA: COVEN OF CHAOS:' Variety reports that White Lotus star Aubrey Plaza will be joining Kathryn Hahn for the WandaVision spinoff titled Agatha: Coven of Chaos at Disney+. Hahn is reprising her role Agatha Harkness, while details about Plaza's character are being kept quiet for now.

CHECK OUT THE TRAILER FOR ‘SPIRITED:' According to Today, Apple TV+ dropped the trailer for Spirited on Wednesday (November 2nd). The film is a reimagining of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, with Will Ferrell playing the Ghost of Christmas Present, who tries to help Ryan Reynolds' character Clint Briggs change for the better.

In an interview with The New York Times published on Tuesday (November 1st), Christina Applegate opened up about her struggles with multiple sclerosis. Applegate was in the middle of filming the final season of Dead to Me when she received the diagnosis.

Production of the show shut down for about five months so that Applegate could begin treatment. "There was the sense of, ‘Well, let's get her some medicine so she can get better,'" she said. "And there is no better. But it was good for me. I needed to process my loss of my life, my loss of that part of me. So I needed that time."

The Married… with Children actress added, "Although it's not like I came on the other side of it, like, ‘Woohoo, I'm totally fine.' Acceptance? No. I'm never going to accept this. I'm pissed."

Kit Connor came out as bisexual on Monday (October 31st), after he was accused of "queerbaiting" by some Twitter users. Connor plays a bisexual who is coming to terms with his sexuality on the show Heartstopper.

After a photo surfaced showing him holding hands with Maia Reficco, some accused him of "queerbaiting," or seeming to be queer and gaining a queer following but maintaining a heteronormative lifestyle.

On Monday (October 31st), Connor returned to Twitter after taking a break from the platform. "back for a minute. i'm bi. congrats for forcing an 18 year old to out himself. i think some of you missed the point of the show. Bye," he wrote.

Several of his Heartstopper costars tweeted their support. Joe Locke, who plays his love interest on the show, wrote, "You owe nothing to anyone. I'm so proud of you my friend." Sebastian Croft added, "Kit Connor, the world doesn't deserve you. Love you my friend."

James Corden is making headlines again. On The Late Late Show Monday (October 31st), Corden told a joke about Elon Musk taking over Twitter that was almost identical to one Ricky Gervais made in 2018.

"When you see Elon Musk talk about Twitter, he does this thing where he goes, ‘It's the town square,'" Corden said. "But it isn't, because if someone puts up a poster in a town square that says ‘guitar lessons available,' you don't get people in the town going: ‘I don't wanna play the guitar!' But that sign wasn't for you, it was for somebody else — you don't have to get mad about all of it."

In Gervais' Netflix special Humanity, he says of Twitter: "… It's like going into a town square, and seeing a big notice board that says, ‘Notice: Guitar lessons,' and going: ‘I don't fucking want guitar lessons!' … Fine! It's not for you, then. Just walk away, don't worry about it."

In response to this, Gervais wrote in a since-deleted tweet, "The bit about the town square advert for guitar lessons is brilliant." Later he said he "started to feel sorry for Corden," and added, "I reckon one of the writers ‘came up with it' for him. I doubt he would knowingly just copy such a famous stand up routine word for word like that."

Corden acknowledged the flub on Twitter Tuesday (November 1st): "Inadvertently told a brilliant Ricky Gervais joke on the show last night, obviously not knowing it came from him. It's brilliant, because it's a Ricky Gervais joke. You can watch all Ricky's excellent specials on Netflix."

Tom Brady addressed his divorce with Gisele Bundchen on the latest episode of his Let's Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray podcast. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback said that he and Bundchen parted ways "amicably," and that he works to keep his personal and professional lives separate.

"I think there's a lot of professionals in life that go through things that they deal with at work, and they deal with at home. Obviously, the good news is, it's a very amicable situation and I'm really focused on two things, taking care of my family and certainly my children and, secondly, doing the best job I can to win football games," he said.

Brady continued, "So, that's what professionals do. You focus at work when it's time to work, and then when you come home, you focus on the priorities that are at home." He added, "All you can do is the best you could do. That's what I'll just continue to do as long as I'm working and as long as I'm being a dad."

On Tuesday (November 1st), People reported that Brady "didn't want" to divorce Bundchen. "This was not Tom's idea," a source told the outlet. "This was never Tom's idea." The source added that Brady was willing to do "whatever it took to make things work," but that "it was a little bit too little, too late" for Bundchen. "She gave him a lot of opportunities to fix things, and he didn't," the source said.

WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘A CHRISTMAS STORY CHRISTMAS:' Just as spooky season came to a close, HBO Max dropped the trailer for the Christmas Story sequel—nearly 40 years after the release of the original film. Variety reports that Peter Billingsley reprises his role as Ralphie, this time as a father who returns to Cleveland St. with his new family. The movie will be available on the streaming platform November 17th.

LUPITA NYONG'O TO STAR IN ‘A QUIET PLACE: DAY ONE:' Deadline reports that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star Lupita Nyong'o is in final negotiations with Paramount to star in A Quiet Place: Day One. The spinoff will be written and directed by Pig director Michael Sarnoski.

JEAN-CLAUDE VAN DAMME TO LEAD ‘DARKNESS OF MAN:' According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jean-Claude Van Damme is set to star in the upcoming neo-noir action film Darkness of Man. The film will be directed by James Cullen Bressack and has been compared to some of Van Damme's other films, including JCVD and The Bouncer.

EMMA ROBERTS AND GEOFFREY RUSH TO STAR IN ‘VERONA SPIES:' Deadline reports that American Horror Story actress Emma Roberts is expected to join Pirates of the Caribbean actor Geoffrey Rush in the forthcoming action-comedy Verona Spies. Frank Coraci, known for The Wedding Singer and The Waterboy, is set to direct the pic.

There were a lot of great costumes on Monday's (October 31st) episode of The View, but one costume in particular is being called into question. In a segment hosted by wardrobe supervisor Ashley Alderfer Kaufman, kids wore costumes inspired by the show's "Hot Topics."

People took to social media in droves to comment on a costume called "The Oscars Slap," in which a child was dressed in a gold outfit to resemble an Oscars statue—with a red handprint on their face.

As the child was onstage presenting the costume, Kaufman told viewers, "We do not want to endorse violence of any kind but we couldn't help but talk about one of the hottest topics of this year."

One Twitter user wrote, "Not a fan of that Oscar slap costume," while another tweeted, "Bad taste on the Oscar slap."

A third person commented, "Difficult to keep up with everything but the red handprint on one's face is the symbol for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Too bad no one was able to flag this costume idea in advance."

It appears that Kim Kardashian didn't get the memo. On Sunday (October 30th), The Kardashians star posted a selfie of herself with Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross to her Instagram stories, writing, "That time I showed up to a birthday dinner in full costume when it wasn't a costume party!" Kardashian mistakenly donned her Mystique costume to the birthday dinner.

"Happy Birthday to the most beautiful kind soul @traceellisross," she added.

On Saturday (October 29th), Ross posted a montage of photos and videos of herself throughout the years. The audio that accompanied the compilation is from a recent interview she did with Today.

In response to how she felt about turning 50, Ross said, "I'm very excited about it. I have always loved getting older."

Jennifer Hudson realized her childhood dream when she stepped out as Sister Mary Clarence, originally portrayed by Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act, on her talk show Monday (October 31st). In addition to performing songs from the movie, she also shared how important Sister Act was to her as a child.

TIM ROTH MOURNS THE LOSS OF HIS 25-YEAR-OLD SON: According to E! News, Cormac Roth, the 25-year-old son of Pulp Fiction actor Tim Roth and stylist Nikki Butler, died earlier this month after a "courageous battle" with cancer. Cormac was diagnosed with stage three germ cell cancer in November of 2021. The family said in a statement, "He died peacefully in the arms of his family who loved and adored him. He fought with incredible bravery for the past year, and maintained his wicked wit and humor to the very end."

Naturally, the Kardashian family went all out for the holiday. Kylie Jenner shared her Bride of Frankenstein costume, designed by Jean Paul Gaultier, to Instagram Friday (October 28th). One of the images she shared even shows her strapped into an old examination table. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian wore a stunning costume as Mystique from X-Men, and Kendall Jenner spiced up the Jessie character from Toy Story.

Kerry Washington killed it as Lionel Richie, dancing to "You Are" in an Instagram video. Jessica Alba and a friend dressed up as the twins from the 1980 horror film The Shining, and Paris Hilton went out as Sailor Moon.

In honor of Julia Roberts' 55th birthday Friday (October 28th), a resurfaced interview revealing an incredible story about her birth has been circulating. It turns out, when her parents couldn't afford the hospital bill after she was born, Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King covered it for them.

In the viral clip, Roberts explains to Gayle King how her parents, Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts, became friends with the civil rights leaders. "My parents had a theater school in Atlanta called the Actors and Writers Workshop," she said. "And one day Coretta Scott King called my mother and asked if her kids could be part of the school because they were having a hard time finding a place that would accept their kids," Roberts said, referring to the effects of segregation in the 1960s.

She continued, "And my mom was like, ‘Sure, come on over.' And they all became friends, and they helped us out of a jam."

"The King family paid for my hospital bills," Roberts said.

In a recent interview with WSJ. Magazine, Maya Rudolph said she "did not have a good time" during her first appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2009.

After it was reported for weeks that Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen were having "marital issues," the pair took to their Instagram stories on Friday (October 28th) to confirm reports that they are divorcing after 13 years of marriage.

"With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart," Bundchen wrote. "We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care and attention they greatly deserve." She also shared that though they have "grown apart," she wishes "the best for Tom always."

For his part, Brady wrote, "In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way." He added that they will continue to "work together as parents."

According to Deadline, people don't spend as much time at the theaters during Halloween weekend. Black Adam held on to the top spot at the domestic box office, bringing in $27.7 million. The outlet reports that this is a steep drop compared to its first week, but that the film is still seeing success by surpassing the $100 million mark domestically.
