Kevin Spacey was present in Manhattan federal court Thursday (October 6th) for opening arguments in the actor's civil trial.

Anthony Rapp is currently suing the Oscar-winning actor for $40 million, claiming that Spacey made unwanted sexual advances on him in 1986 when Spacey was 26 and Rapp was 14-years-old.

In opening arguments, Spacey's attorney Jennifer L. Keller called Rapp "bitter" and claimed that he "peaked around the year 2000" and "blames Mr. Spacey for everything that hasn't gone well in his life."

According to Variety, Spacey's legal team plans to bring medical experts who will testify about trauma and memory lapses. Based on their opening statements, they appear ready to argue that Rapp has misremembered or embellished key details.

Bethenny Frankel is suing TikTok for allegedly allowing her "image and likeness" to be used to promote counterfeit products on the social media platform.

According to documents obtained by Page Six, the Skinny Girl founder claims that in September followers noticed what appeared to be Frankel promoting a counterfeit designer cardigan.

When she made her own video disputing, warning followers that the clip was a scam, she claims TikTok deleted the video for being "abusive".

According to the filing, the Real Housewives of New York star is seeking compensation for damages to her reputation and a change to the platform's advertising policy which she claims does not "police" these kinds of ads.

Jojo Siwa shared her "gay awakening story" as part of the "One Thing About Me" trend on TikTok.

MAJOR THEATER CHAINS TO PLAY 'KNIVES OUT' SEQUEL: The three largest theater chains in the U.S. have all agreed to Netflix's Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery for one week over Thanksgiving, a month before the highly anticipated movie hits the streamer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Rian Johnson-directed sequel will open in approximately 600 cinemas including those owned by AMC Theaters, Cinemark Theaters and Regal Cinemas. The movie's theatrical film is scheduled for Nov. 23rd to 29th.

Christian Bale told GQ in a cover story published Wednesday (October 5th) that he served as a "mediator" between director David O. Russell and Amy Adams during filming of the American Hustle in 2012.

He told the outlet, "When you're working with people of the crazy creative talent of Amy or of David, there are gonna be upsets. But they are f***ing phenomenal."

Adams previously told British GQ that the director yelled at her and made her cry almost daily during filming.

He told the outlet, "If I can have some sense of understanding of where it's coming from, then I do tend to attempt to be a mediator. That's just in my nature, to try to say, ‘Hey, come on, let's go and sit down and figure that out. There's gotta be a way of making this all work.'"

Charlie Hunnam battled serious health issues while filming the Apple TV+ series, Shantaram.

Jenner and Travis Scott have yet to publicly reveal the name of their child since changing it from Wolf.

On Tuesday (October 4th), Angelina Jolie filed a cross-complaint in the legal battle over a French winery she and Brad Pitt once owned together. The court documents detail abuse allegations against Pitt from the plane incident in 2016 that led to their divorce.

"When one of the children verbally defended Jolie, Pitt lunged at his own child and Jolie grabbed him from behind to stop him. To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane's seats injuring Jolie's back and elbow," the filing reads. "The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face. Some of the children pleaded with Pitt to stop. They were all frightened."

The documents also claim that Pitt "periodically emerged from the back of the plane to yell and swear at them" over "many tense hours" on the flight, and "at one point, he poured beer on Jolie; at another, he poured beer and red wine on the children."

The filing states that Jolie "has gone to great lengths to try to shield their children from reliving the pain Pitt inflicted on the family that day, but when Pitt filed this lawsuit seeking to reassert control over Jolie's financial life and compel her to rejoin her ex-husband as a frozen-out business partner, Pitt forced Jolie to publicly defend herself on these issues for the first time."

Constance Wu broke into tears on Late Night With Seth Myers Monday (October 3rd) while discussing the sexual harassment she experienced on the sitcom Fresh Off the Boat. Wu details the allegations in her new memoir Making a Scene.

The Crazy Rich Asians star shared that she "didn't want to write" about what happened during the first two seasons of the show. "That was the last essay I wrote for the book, and only after being, like, pushed by my editor, like, 'You should write about this. This is what people want to hear.' And I was like, 'I'm done with that chapter in my life,'" she said.

Wu writes in her book that one of the producers on Fresh Off the Boat dictated what she should wear, such as "short skirts," and who she should be friends with, among other accusations. She also claims that he touched her inappropriately at a basketball game.

"I had never done anything big before. I had just graduated from being a waitress. I was scared of being fired," she said. In an interview with Vanity Fair published on Tuesday (October 4th), Emma Thompson commented on filming a nude scene with Jeff Goldblum for the 1989 film The Tall Guy.

"I spent two delightful days nude with Jeff Goldblum when I was in my 20s," she told the publication.

The Love Actually actress continued, "We were both so nervous. We both had indigestion I think for two weeks beforehand. But once we got into it, we just had the best time."

Thompson shared that this positive experience helped her film nude scenes in other movies, such as her latest film Good Luck to You, Leo Grande. In an appeal filed on Monday (October 3rd), disgraced 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar said government agents failed to interview his former coworker, Caleb Williams, in his child pornography case.

According to Duggar, Williams "regularly used the only computer that had child pornography on it, was tech savvy." He also allegedly sent Duggar a text offering to "watch the lot."

The documents show that Williams worked with Duggar at Wholesale Motorcars and is a convicted sex offender. Duggar claims his team tried to call Williams to the stand but that the federal court denied the request.

GISELE BUNDCHEN AND TOM BRADY HIRE DIVORCE LAWYERS: According to Page Six, Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady have both hired divorce lawyers, as the pair have been living apart for months following a big fight. A source told the outlet, "I never actually thought this argument would be the end of them, but it looks like it is. I don't think there will be any coming back now. They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be."

JOAN HOTCHKIS DIES AT 95: Deadline reports that veteran actress Joan Hotchkis died last week at the age of 95 due to congestive heart failure. Hotchkis was most known for her roles on The Odd Couple and Legacy. She also held roles on shows such as Lou Grant, Charlie's Angels, Mannix, and The New Dick Van Dyke Show, and in films such as The Late Liz, Breezy, and Old Boyfriends.

‘FRASIER' SEQUEL TO AIR ON PARAMOUNT+: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount+ has given the Frasier sequel a series order. Kelsey Grammer is set to reprise his role from the original show.

MEGHAN MARKLE CALLS OUT ‘AUSTIN POWERS' AND ‘KILL BILL' FOR STEREOTYPING ASIAN WOMEN: On the first episode of Meghan Markle's Archetypes podcast since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Markle called out the hypersexualization of Asian women in movies like Kill Bill and Austin Powers. "Movies like Austin Powers and Kill Bill — they presented these caricatures of women of Asian descent as oversexualized or aggressive," she said. "This toxic stereotyping of women of Asian descent…this doesn't just end once the credits roll." Sociologist Nancy Wang Yuen appeared on the podcast with her and recalled the time a man used a line from Full Metal Jacket on her. "I myself have been propositioned in an airport in Atlanta of all places by a stranger who said, ‘Me so horny,' just yelled it out to me." Yuen explained, "I knew why because I looked around and I thought and I saw that I was the only Asian woman in that area. I knew he was talking to me, even though I don't even know if he'd ever seen Full Metal Jacket."

CASTING IS COMPLETE FOR ‘MEGALOPOLIS:' Deadline reports that Francis Ford Coppola has set his final casting for Megalopolis, which will begin filming this fall in Georgia. Chloe Fineman, Isabelle Kusman, D.B. Sweeney, Bailey Ives, and Dustin Hoffman have all secured roles in the film. They join Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker and Nathalie Emmanuel, among others.

On Monday's (October 3rd) episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg called out a film critic who wrote that she found Goldberg's fat suit "distracting" in the movie Till, which had its world premiere at the New York Film Festival over the weekend. However, Goldberg clarified that she wasn't wearing one.

"I don't really care about how you felt about the movie," the Ghost actress said. "But you should know that was not a fat suit, that was me. That was me. That was steroids. Remember last year? I assume you don't watch the show, or you would know that was not a fat suit." Goldberg was taking steroids at the time of filming to treat her sciatica symptoms.

She added, "It's OK not be a fan of movie, but you want to leave people's looks out. Just comment on the acting. And if you have a question, ask somebody. I'm sure you didn't mean to be demeaning."

Kim Kardashian has agreed to pay $1.26 million to settle Securities and Exchange Commission charges for promoting EthereumMax's crypto asset on Instagram and failing to disclose a payment she received for the promotion.

Gary Gensler, the chairman of the SEC, said on Monday (October 3rd), "This case is a reminder that, when celebrities or influencers endorse investment opportunities, including crypto asset securities, it doesn't mean that those investment products are right for all investors."

A lawyer for Kardashian said in a statement, "Kardashian fully cooperated with the SEC from the very beginning and she remains willing to do whatever she can to assist the SEC in this matter. She wanted to get this matter behind her to avoid a protracted dispute. The agreement she reached with the SEC allows her to do that so that she can move forward with her many different business pursuits."

Also on Monday (October 3rd), Kardashian launched a true crime podcast called The System on Spotify, according to Today. Spotify said in a statement, "Narrated by Kim Kardashian, alongside veteran true crime producer Lori Rothschild Ansaldi, ‘The System' dives into the story of Kevin Keith, a man convicted of triple homicide who, for nearly three decades, has been working alongside his family to prove he was wrongly accused."

She Hulk actress Jameela Jamil is speaking out against the recent decision to choose controversial designer Karl Lagerfeld for the theme of the 2023 Met Gala. Vogue announced news of the theme last week.

"This man... was indeed, supremely talented, but used his platform in such a distinctly hateful way, mostly towards women, so repeatedly and up until the last years of his life, showing no remorse, offering no atonement, no apology, no help to groups he attacked... there was no explanation for his cruel outbursts," Jamil wrote on Instagram Saturday (October 1st).

The Good Place actress continued, "Those groups were women who were sexually assaulted, the entire me too movement, gay couples who wanted to adopt, all fat people, specifically fat women, and some of his greatest harm was against Muslim refugees, and the disgusting way he spoke about people fleeing their homes for fear of their lives."

She noted that saying her piece would "probably end" her relationship with Vogue. Regardless, she pointed out, "Why is THIS who we celebrate when there are so many AMAZING designers out there who aren't bigoted white men? What happened to everyone's principles and ‘advocacy.' You don't get to stand for justice in these areas, and then attend the celebration of someone who reveled in his own public disdain for marginalized people."

Joshua Jackson opened up to E! News recently about his first few years as a father. The Dawson's Creek star shares his two-year-old daughter, Janie, with his wife, Jodie Turner-Smith.
