MEGHAN MARKLE'S ‘ARCHETYPES' PODCAST TO RETURN ON OCTOBER 4TH: Variety reports that Meghan Markle's Archetypes podcast will resume with new episodes on October 4th, after taking a brief hiatus due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Next week's episode will feature Margaret Cho as she discusses Asian American tropes in the entertainment industry.

BOB ODENKIRK TO STAR IN ‘THE MAKING OF JESUS DIABETES:' According to Deadline, Bob Odenkirk will co-write and co-star in the comedy film The Making of Jesus Diabetes alongside It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Andrew Friedman and Michael Naughton. Friedman and Naughton also held supporting roles on Better Call Saul. The film follows two middle-aged brothers who decide to make a movie about diabetes during the time of Jesus.

PATTI LABELLE JOINS ‘THE WONDER YEARS' REBOOT: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Patti Labelle has joined the cast of The Wonder Years reboot for its second season. Labelle will guest-star as Bill Williams' (Dulé Hill) mother.

The New Mexico state district attorney said up to four people could be charged for the fatal Rust shooting that took place on October 21st, 2021, resulting in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies also specified that this could include Alec Baldwin.

"We are within weeks, if not days, of receiving the final report from the sheriff's office," she said during a Board of Finance meeting last week. "It's become apparent that we will be potentially charging between one and four people with criminal charges and each of those charges will probably include some variation of our homicide statute."

The DA added that, "One of the possible defendants is well known movie actor Alec Baldwin."

According to Deadline, Baldwin's attorney Luke Nikas of Quinn Emanuel responded to the news, saying that the media is "drawing false conclusions." He added, "The DA has made clear that she has not received the sheriff's report or made any decisions about who, if anyone, might be charged in this case."

On Sunday (September 25th), KiKi Layne took to Instagram to share that most of the scenes she filmed for Don't Worry Darling didn't make it to the final cut.

Sharing photos of herself with her costar and newly confirmed boyfriend Ari'el Stachel, Layne wrote, "The best thing about #DontWorryDarling is that I was lucky enough to meet @arielstachel. They cut us from most of the movie, but we thriving in real life."

The If Beale Street Could Talk actress added the hashtags, "#GotMyCheck #GotMyMan #EverythingHappensforaReason." Stachel responded to Layne's post, writing, "My love. You are a queen and your talent shines so bright. I was thirsty then and I'm thirsty now."

The Zola actor also commented on his missing scenes by reposting a TikTok with tweets calling him a "glorified extra." He captioned the video, "when you end up on the cutting room floor."

In a People cover story published on Monday (September 26th), Kelly Ripa shared that she was worried about her marriage with Mark Consuelos after their kids went away to college.

"It's scary, thrilling, liberating, shocking … and quiet," she said about the children being gone. "There were moments when I was like, ‘We're going to be that couple: Our third child goes to college, and we get divorced because this is it.'"

The Live with Kelly and Ryan host went on to say that the pair were "too young" when they got married in 1996 at 25 years old.

"On paper, it should not have worked, and when it didn't work, we really worked at it," she said. Ripa added, "We fought for our marriage when it would have been easier to quit and throw in the towel."

Kardashian's longtime friend Stephanie Shepherd shared the video on Sunday (September 25th), with The Kardashians star hopping and taking tiny steps in the tight-fitting dress in order to get around.

In other news, the SKIMS founder also appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan Monday (September 26th) and shared that she's "just not ready" to date yet, following her breakup with Pete Davidson.

When asked what kind of man she sees herself with next, Kardashian replied with a laugh, "Absolutely no one." She added, "I'm not looking for anything. I think I really just need to be by myself and focus and finish school and focus on my kids."

Meryl Streep honored her longtime friend Robert De Niro at a gala in Austin for the Harry Ransom Center Saturday (September 24th). The Devil Wears Prada actress referred to De Niro as her "beacon for 50 years."

In her speech, Streep shared how much she looks up to the Goodfellas actor. "Over the years, people have always said to me, ‘What actress do you most admire? What actress' career would you like to emulate?'" she said, naming Geraldine Page, Colleen Dewhurst, and Vanessa Redgrave among others.

"But, really," she continued, "The second time I saw Robert De Niro, I said to myself, that's the kind of actor I wanna be. That's what I wanna do. And I wanna do it with the commitment and the passion and the skill and the beauty with which he applies to it. And he's been my beacon for 50 years."

JULIA ROBERTS WANTS TO FIND GARCELLE BEAUVAIS A BOYFRIEND: According to Entertainment Tonight, Julia Roberts is a big Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fan, and she wants to help Garcelle Beauvais find a boyfriend. At the HISTORYTalks 2022 event in Washington over the weekend, Beauvais told the outlet, "I just met Julia Roberts, she said 'Oh my god, I need to find you a boyfriend. I'm invested in this,' and I said, 'Oh my god, I can just die now. I don't even need the boyfriend.'" Beauvais added that the Pretty Woman star said she "needed a moment" when she saw her. "I was like 'You? I need a moment!'" Beauvais said. When ET asked Roberts if she had anyone in mind for Beauvais, she said, "No, but I'm going to be thinking about it all day."

MICHELE MORRONE AND KHLOE KARDASHIAN ‘ARE NOT DATING:' After they were photographed together during Milan Fashion Week, fans were hoping that Khloe Kardashian and 365 Days actor Michele Morrone were a couple. However, a rep for Morrone told People that's just not the case. "Dolce and Gabbana asked them to take a photo at the show. Michele said she was very nice, and that was the extent of it," the rep said. Another source shared that Kardashian "just met him in Milan that night. They are not dating. She has no plans to see him again."

BROOKE BAILEY'S DAUGHTER KAYLA DIES AT 25: Entertainment Tonight reports that Basketball Wives star Brooke Bailey is grieving her 25-year-old daughter Kayla. On Sunday (September 25th), Bailey posted photos of Kayla and shared the news of her passing. "Forever my baby, Pretty Black aka Kayla Nicole Bailey," she wrote. "This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon." Bailey also changed her bio to read, "FOREVER Kayla Nicole Bailey 3/2/97-9/25/22 #PrettyBlack." The cause of Kayla's death is not yet known.

DANIEL FRANZESE EXPRESSES FRUSTRATION OVER BRENDAN FRASER BEING CAST IN ‘THE WHALE:' Mean Girls actor Daniel Franzese opened up to People recently about Brendan Fraser being cast as a 600-lb gay man in The Whale—a role that he "and the other big queer guys" are overlooked for, he said. "I love Brendan Fraser, so I'm very conflicted," Franzese said. "Seeing him get up so modest in Venice and have that moment, I was very happy for him. He's a lovely man. And it's great. But why? Why go up there and wear a fat suit to play a 400-lb. queer man?" The Bully actor added, "To finally have a chance to be in a prestige film that might be award-nominated, where stories about people who look like us are being told? That's the dream. FAMILY OF ONE OF JEFFREY DAHMER'S VICTIMS ‘PISSED' AT NETFLIX FOR NEW SERIES: According to The New York Post, the cousin of one of Jeffrey Dahmer's victims took to Twitter after Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story dropped on Netflix. Errol Lindsey was Dahmer's 11th victim, and his cousin Eric Perry wrote, "I'm not telling anyone what to watch, I know true crime media is huge rn, but if you're actually curious about the victims, my family (the Isbell's) are pissed about this show. It's retraumatizing over and over again, and for what? How many movies/shows/documentaries do we need?"

JAMES EARL JONES WILL NO LONGER VOICE DARTH VADER IN ‘STAR WARS' FILMS: Today reports that James Earl Jones has signed off to allow Lucasfilms to use archival voice recordings for future films in the Star Wars franchise. Lucasfilm sound editor Matthew Wood said, "He had mentioned he was looking into winding down this particular character. So how do we move forward?" The company will be using Respeecher, which Today writes is "a Ukrainian startup that uses AI technology to craft new conversations from revitalized old voice recordings."

MARVEL STUDIOS PRESIDENT COMMENTS ON THE DECISION TO NOT RECAST KING T'CHALLA IN ‘BLACK PANTHER' SEQUEL: Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told Empire Magazine why they decided against recasting King T'Challa in the Black Panther sequel Wakanda Forever, following Chadwick Boseman's tragic death in 2020. "It just felt like it was much too soon to recast," he said. "Stan Lee always said that Marvel represents the world outside your window. And we had talked about how, as extraordinary and fantastical as our characters and stories are, there's a relatable and human element to everything we do. The world is still processing the loss of Chad. And Ryan poured that into the story."

CHRISTIAN BALE HAD TO ‘ISOLATE' HIMSELF FROM CHRIS ROCK ON THE SET OF ‘AMSTERDAM:' Christian Bale told IndieWire recently that he had to "isolate" himself from Chris Rock on the set of Amsterdam because the comedian made him laugh too much. "Chris is so bloody funny and I found that I couldn't act," Bale said. "Because I was just becoming Christian laughing at Chris Rock. So I had to go to him, I went, ‘Mate, I love talking to you, and we have mutual friends, but I can't do it anymore. Because David didn't ask me to make this film so he could just watch me giggle. He wants me to be Burt and I'm forgetting how to be Burt.'" The Dark Knight actor added, "I often meet these incredible people, but I isolate myself. Because if I get to know people too much, I find I just don't believe what I'm doing in the scene."

After Vulture reported on Friday (September 23rd) that Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh got into a "screaming match" on the set of Don't Worry Darling, 40 production and crew members released a statement denying the allegations.

The statement, issued exclusively to People, reads, "As a crew, we've avoided addressing the absurd gossip surrounding the movie we're so proud of, but feel the need to correct the anonymous 'sources' quoted in a recent article. Any allegations about unprofessional behavior on the set of Don't Worry Darling are completely false."

The production and crew members declared, "There was never a screaming match between our director and anyone, let alone a member of our cast." The team also described Wilde as "an incredible leader and director who was present with and involved in every aspect of production," and who "ran this set with class and respect for everyone involved."

On Friday (September 23rd), Pugh shared a post to Instagram saying that she was "grateful" to be part of the movie. "This film was such an epic story on such a large scale to shoot, all while during peak Covid times. For that I will always be grateful. To all of you who helped make this, your dedication and love was seen daily - thank you. With that, here are some pics I took from this time. More to come!" she wrote.

Just ahead of her 50th birthday, Gwyneth Paltrow sat down with CBS News on Sunday (September 25th) to talk about her life and work. The Goop founder commented on her 18-year-old daughter Apple starting college and her "conscious uncoupling" from Coldplay singer Chris Martin.

"I know this sounds nuts, but it feels almost as profound as giving birth," she said about Apple going off to college. Paltrow has not yet revealed where her daughter will be headed in the fall.

As for her relationship with ex-husband Chris Martin, she said, "He's completely my family, and I love him. And he would do anything for me. I would do anything for him. He would do anything for our kids. We really did commit to wanting our children to be as unscathed by the divorce as possible."

On Saturday (September 24th), Khloe Kardashian took to Twitter to thank her fans and to admit that she was "scared to go online" after the season two premiere of The Kardashians on Thursday (September 22nd). The first episode of the season focuses on Khloe as she prepares to welcome her second baby with Tristan Thompson, following the news of his paternity scandal.

"I love you! I'm so consumed with overwhelming emotions from reading your tweets and commentary about the premiere episode," she wrote. "I have to be honest I was scared to go online but friends and family kept telling me how loving and kind everybody was. I decided to take a look for myself."

Also over the weekend, Kardashian was photographed getting close to 365 Days star Michele Morrone at Milan Fashion Week. Fans are hoping that the pair will become a couple. "They look soo good together," one TikTok user wrote. Another commented, "HE WOULD TREAT HER SO WELL."

Entertainment Tonight spoke with former Bachelorette Michelle Young on Saturday (September 24th) about the Bachelorette finale not addressing Eric Schwer's Blackface controversy. Young said that the franchise needs to "do better."

"If I'm going to stay a part of this franchise, this franchise is gonna change," she shared. "And if it's not going to change, then I'm going to take my energy somewhere else where I can make a change. And it's a lot, it's exhausting but I'm not going to continue to be a part of something that isn't truly focused on changing with the times. We need to do better."

Young continued, "We been through this with Matt James season, me being the runner up, called the token Black girl called whatever it is. I've already been through these types of feelings."

She added, "And so, to go through it again, and after I was promised change, promised all these different things, I don't take somebody's word for it at this point."

Don't Worry Darling saw a solid debut at the domestic box office over the weekend, pulling in $19.2 million in spite of recent headlines. Warner Bros. was expecting $17 million for the film's opening weekend. The company's President of Domestic Distribution Jeff Goldstein said on Sunday morning (September 25th), "We're continuing to bring non-traditional audiences back to theatres with a predominantly female-skewing film, proving that audiences of all kinds are willing to return to theatres given the appeal."

TODD BRIDGES MARRIES BETTIJO B. HIRSCHI: People reports that Diff'rent Strokes star Todd Bridges married designer Bettijo B. Hirschi on Wednesday (September 21st) at Greystone Mansion & Gardens in Beverly Hills, California. Bridges told the publication the ceremony involved "just our closest friends and family," and that he was excited to marry "somebody that I'm madly in love with." The Everybody Hates Chris actor also shared that the pair met in March. "We met through a friend that I've known for a long time named Mandy. I was supposed to actually be setting her up with someone else, but it didn't go that way. When I met her, I was like, 'I'm not going to set her up with anyone else. I want her for myself,' " he said.

SYLVESTER STALLONE AND JENNIFER FLAVIN ARE BACK TOGETHER: One month after Jennifer Flavin filed for divorce from Sylvester Stallone, multiple outlets report that the pair have decided to get back together. A spokesperson for Stallone told Page Six, "They decided to meet back up at home, where they talked and were able to work out their differences. They are both extremely happy."

HILARIA AND ALEC BALDWIN WELCOME 7TH BABY TOGETHER: Hilaria Baldwin has given birth to her 7th baby with Alec Baldwin. Sharing the news on Instagram Saturday (September 24th), Hilaria wrote, "She's here! We are so excited to introduce you to our tiny dream come true, ilaria catalina irena."

CLAYTON ECHARD AND SUSIE EVANS BREAK UP: On Friday (September 23rd), Bachelor stars Clayton Echard and Susie Evans announced in a joint statement that they are splitting up. "With incredibly heavy hearts, we wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways," they wrote. "We understand that there will likely be a lot of questions about this decision — social media is definitely a highlight reel and much of our experiences together we have kept private as I'm sure most can understand. But we will share this — although this last year together has brought us so much joy and so many laughs, there has also been a significant amount of pain."

LOUISE FLETCHER DIES AT 88: According to Entertainment Tonight, actress Louise Fletcher died at the age of 88 on Friday (September 23rd) at her home in the south of France. Fletcher won the 1976 Academy Award for her role as Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. She also won Emmy nominations for her work in Picket Fences and Joan of Arcadia. Fletcher's film and television roles included The Cheap Detective, Natural Enemies, Cruel Intentions, Firestarter, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Shameless.

NETFLIX REVEALS ‘THE CROWN' SEASON FIVE RELEASE DATE: Variety reports that The Crown will be back on Netflix for its fifth season on November 9th. The new season is believed to cover the royal family throughout the 1990s and will feature an entirely new cast.

WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘THE WATCHER:' According to Deadline, Netflix dropped the trailer for the limited series The Watcher on Saturday (September 24th), starring Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale. The series is based on the true story of a couple who bought and then were forced to abandon a $1.4 million home in New Jersey—after they started receiving letters from someone who claimed to have been "watching" the home for decades. "I am the Watcher. Bring me your young blood," one of the letters read. The series is set to premiere on October 13th.

LESLIE GRACE SHARES BEHIND-THE-SCENES FOOTAGE FROM ‘BATGIRL:' On Saturday (September 24th), Leslie Grace shared a compilation video to TikTok showcasing her time on the set of Batgirl. The film was shelved by Warner Bros. last month. The video, set to Omar Apollo's "Evergreen (You Didn't Deserve Me At All)," shows her practicing her stunts, having fun, and wearing makeup smeared on her face. "i couldn't resist," Grace captioned the video.

Johnny Depp is dating one of his lawyers. A source told People Thursday (September 22nd) that the Pirates of the Caribbean star is seeing Joelle Rich, who was on the actor's legal team during his libel case against The Sun.

The insider said, "They are dating but it's not serious."

Although she was pary of the team that lost the U.K. libel case in November 2020, she was not involved in the defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard earlier this year. She was, however, present in the Virginia courtroom to show "support" for the star.

She was photographed with Depp outside of the courthouse on May 3rd and spotted hugging Depp's attorney Camille Vasquez inside the courtroom on May 16th.

Elizabeth Chambers appears to have encouraged Effie to press charges against her ex-husband, Armie Hammer, so that she could get full custody of their two children.

According to Page Six, Chambers reached out to Effie, the woman who first leveled sexual misconduct charges against the Call Me By Your Name star, and wrote, "I really need custody of my precious children. Do you think you could make a declaration this week? It will all be private. I don't want to pressure you, but your insight is much more in depth than the others we have."

Effie continuously maintained that Hammer was "scaring" her and his other alleged victims into not reporting his behavior, but Chambers assured her that her estranged husband could do "NOTHING" to hurt them.

A representative for Chambers told Page Six, "Given the extent and nature of allegations that were made, Elizabeth sought to determine the veracity of those allegations. She was very sensitive to all parties involved. The safety and well being of their children remains her priority."

Effie told the outlet Thursday (September 22nd), "It's unfortunate that Elizabeth, like the producers of House of Hammer, is looking to profit from others' trauma. She can't call herself a feminist when her ‘best friend' is an abuser. The ones who need healing are the victims – not the abusers."

Bryce Dallas Howard's Jurassic World: Dominion director, Colin Trevorrow, had to step in to support her after she was "asked to not use her natural body in cinema."

The actress, who plays Claire Dearing in the dinosaur franchise told Metro, "On the third movie, it was actually because there were so many women cast, it was something that Colin felt very strongly about in terms of protecting me … because the conversation came up again, ‘We need to ask Bryce to lose weight.'

"He was like, ‘There are lots of different kinds of women on this planet, and there are lots of different kinds of women in our film,' and I got to do so many stunts that wouldn't have been possible if I had been dieting."

Former teen pop star Greyson Chance recently told Rolling Stone that he's "never met someone more manipulative, more self-centered, and more blatantly opportunistic" than Ellen DeGeneres.

The now-25-year-old first appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at age 12 and ultimately signed on to the talk show host's eleveneleven label in 2010.

Chance told the outlet that she became incredibly controlling and recalled an incident where DeGeneres berated his mother because he did not have time to watch the Justin Bieber documentary she procured for him.

He said, "I'll never forget this. I just remember hearing on the other side of the phone, just yelling and beratement: 'What type of mother are you? Do you realize that I went out of my way to get this for you, and he can't sit down and watch it?'"

Chance told the outlet that she set him up with managers, agents and publicists only to be come distant once his music underperformed.

However, a source close to The Ellen DeGeneres Show team told People they "went above and beyond to help set him up for success, but in business that doesn't always work out, and his career did not take off."

CHARLIZE THERON IS CONTENT NOT BEING AS FAMOUS AS KIM KARDASHIAN: Charlize Theron may be an Oscar winning actress, but the 47-year-old says she's content never having achieved "Kim Kardashian level" fame. She told Harper's Bazaar for an October cover story, "I feel like I'm at a place where it is what it is. Working more isn't, I think, going to change my level of fame. I've never been one of those people that's at a Kim Kardashian level." The mother of two added, "When my kids say, ‘Mom, nobody makes pasta better than you,' nothing gets close to that. I don't ever need them to be like, ‘Oh, you're in that movie.'"

JEFF GARLIN REVEALS BIPOLAR DISORDER: Jeff Garlin revealed that he has bipolar disorder in a brief Instagram post Tuesday (September 20th). The post came just one day before the Season 10 premiere of The Goldbergs, in which it was revealed that his character had been killed off. He wrote, "Bipolar is a motherf***er. Sometimes it's just too much to deal with. I'm doing the best I can. This the first time that I've opened up about this."

KATHY GRIFFIN GIVES HEALTH UPDATE: Kathy Griffin gave E! News a health update one year after revealing that she had stage 1 lung cancer. The My Life on the D-List star told the outlet, "My health is pretty good. And I'm cancer free, which is great. But I did sustain some injuries from the surgery. So I'm working on my voice to get it better, keeping my fingers crossed, but it used to be even worse than this. At least now I can be heard, it was like a whisper for six months."

'RIVERDALE' ACTOR SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR KILLING MOTHER: Riverdale actor Ryan Grantham has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his own mother. TMZ reports that the 24-year-old was sentenced Wednesday (November 21st) in British Columbia, Canada Supreme Court approximately six months after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the 2020 death of Barbara Waite. Grantham admitted on camera that he shot her in the back of the head.

SLYVESTER STALLONE AND JENNIFER FLAVIN TO WORK OUT DIVORCE SETTLEMENT IN PRIVATE: Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin are putting their divorce proceedings on hold in order to work out a deal in private. TMZ recently learned the couple did not have a prenup. According to new legal documents obtained by the outlet, the court recently granted the couple an order of abatement, but sources connected to the case say the divorce is still happening, they just don't want the negotiations made public.

MARTIN SHORT AND SHANIA TWAIN JOIN ABC'S 'BEAUTY AND THE BEAST': Deadline reports that Martin Short and Shania Twain are joining ABC's Beauty and the Beast anniversary special. Short will take on the role of Lumiere and Twain will play Mrs. Potts.

JON HAMM GAVE BACK 60% OF 'CONFESS FLETCH' PAY: Confess Fletch director Greg Mattola told Uproxx that Jon Hamm was so committed to filming the movie, that he gave back 60% of his salary to help finance three extra days of filming on the indie project.

VINCE GILLIGAN RETEAMS WITH RHEA SEEHORN FOR APPLE TV+ PROJECT: Better Call Saul co-creator Vince Gilligan is reuniting with Rhea Seehorn for an untitled project that will premiere on Apple TV+. Deadline says the series, described as a blended, grounded drama, received a two-season straight-to-series order from the streamer.

MORE PEOPLE AER STREAMING GAME OF THRONES THAN HOUSE OF THE DRAGON: House of the Dragon has gotten people back into its parent series Game of Thrones. According to The Hollywood Reporter, streaming data shows that HBO Max users watched 909 million minutes of Game of Thrones during the week of August 22nd and only 741 million for House of The Dragon.

Elizabeth Chambers opened up to E! News Wednesday (September 21st) about the challenges of coparenting with Armie Hammer following their split.

She told the outlet, "Armie has been focused on his healing. There's the oxygen mask theory: You can't really take care of someone until you are taken care of. There's a reason on the plane they say, 'Secure your own mask before helping others.' He has been very busy securing his own mask."
