GWYNETH PALTROW COMMENTS ON NAMING HER DAUGHTER ‘APPLE:' During an Instagram live on Sunday (April 24th), Gwyneth Paltrow responded to a question about why she and Chris Martin decided to name their daughter after a fruit. Paltrow said, "Her dad came up with the name and I fell in love with it. I thought it was original and cool. I can't imagine her being called anything else." E! News reports that Paltrow told Oprah in 2004, "When we were first pregnant, her daddy said, 'If it's a girl I think her name should be Apple. It sounded so sweet, and it conjured such a lovely picture for me, you know." She added, "Apples are so sweet and they're wholesome and it's biblical."

TERRY CREWS COMMENTS ON BEING A FORMER ‘TOXIC MALE:' In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor Terry Crews answered questions about his new memoir, Tough, which will be released on April 26th. When Crews was asked about coming out as a sexual assault survivor, he told the publication, "I feel like that's literally probably the most important thing I've ever done, ever." Crews also commented on being a former "toxic male." He said, "As a former, what I would call, ‘toxic male' — that term ‘toxic masculinity' has been used a lot, and it's actually been misused. The term I really love right now is just ‘abuse of power' — and that really, really resonated with who I was; but then people just had more questions about how this goes down and what forms this, and how do you get control of this? Through all my therapy and through all my adventures over the last few years, I knew it was time and I was very grateful to get this opportunity."

DAVID HARBOUR TO STAR IN THE TRASHERS: Deadline reports that Stranger Things actor David Harbour will play the lead in Cooper Raiff's The Trashers. Harbour will play Jimmy Galante, "a Connecticut trash magnate and associate of the Genovese crime family (which has been cited as an inspiration for The Sopranos)."

FIRE ISLAND TRAILER IS RELEASED: According to Variety, Hulu released the first trailer for Fire Island on Monday (April 25th). Starring Shrill actor Joel Kim Booster, Saturday Night Live's Bowen Yang, and Margaret Cho, the film is a "modern" Pride and Prejudice, focused on two gay best friends who venture to Fire Island.

ELON MUSK TO BE FEATURED ON THE NEW YORK TIMES PRESESNTS: Tesla CEO and now the owner of Twitter, Elon Musk is set to be the subject of the next installment of The New York Times Presents. According to TVLine, "Elon Musk's Crash Course" will premiere on FX and Hulu on May 20th.

TYRA BANKS JOINS THE CAST OF DON'T TELL MOM THE BABYSITTER'S DEAD: Deadline reports that Tyra Banks has secured a role in the remake of Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead. The original film came out in 1991, and the new version is scheduled to begin filming in July.

Chris Rock's mother, Rosalie Rock, has commented on Will Smith slapping her son at the 94th annual Academy Awards.

"Will, You reacted to your wife giving you the side-eye, and you went and made her day because she was mulled over laughing when it happened," she told South Carolina's WIS News 10 recently.

Rosalie, a motivational speaker who watched the Oscars from home, said that at first, she thought the incident was staged—until she heard Smith "using obscenities."

"When he slapped Chris, he slapped all of us. He really slapped me. No one even heard his speech. No one was able to just be in the moment because everyone was sitting there like, ‘What just happened?'" she said.

Rosalie also made it clear that she feels Smith's apology is inadequate. "I feel really bad that he never apologized. I mean his people wrote up a piece via Instagram saying, ‘I apologize to Chris Rock,' but you see something like that is personal, you reach out," she said.

Last week, the film Being Mortal, starring Aziz Ansari, Seth Rogen, and Bill Murray, was shut down indefinitely after a complaint about Murray was filed for "inappropriate behavior." Page Six reported on Saturday (April 23rd) that Murray allegedly got "handsy" with some of the women on set.

A source told the publication, "He was very hands-on touchy, not in any personal areas, but put an arm around a woman, touched her hair, pulled her ponytail — but always in a comedic way."

"It is a fine line and everybody loves Bill, but while his conduct is not illegal, some women felt uncomfortable and he crossed a line," the source continued.

Adding to the story, Richard Dreyfuss' son, Ben Dreyfuss, tweeted on Thursday night (April 21st), "Bill Murray had a meltdown during what about bob because he wanted an extra day off and Laura said no and ripped off her glasses off her face and my dad complained about his behavior and Bill Murray threw an ashtray at him."

Dreyfuss also said that they only resumed filming What About Bob after production hired bodyguards for the set.

While on the stand for the second day in Blac Chyna's trial against the Kardashian-Jenner family, Kris Jenner said "I do," when Chyna's attorney, Lynne Ciani, asked her, "Do you believe 100 percent that Blac Chyna attempted murder on your son, Rob?"

Jenner explained, "I was told she put a gun to his head, and was drinking, and I don't think drinking and guns are ever good together."

She continued, "I was told she tried to strangle him with a phone cord. I was told it was complete chaos that this was happening. I was very upset. Rob was hysterical crying. It was a mess. I can't imagine what it was like having a gun pointed at your head."

Jenner became emotional while testifying and added, "She tried to murder him, she put a gun to his head and I really have to get over that?"

Also on Friday (April 22nd), Page Six reports that Rob & Chyna executive director Jeff Jenkins said there was never going to be a second season. "I would not pick up this show. There was no more Rob and Chyna," he said via Zoom.

In a newly released episode of Selling Sunset, real estate agent Emma Hernan says she matched with Ben Affleck on the dating app Raya shortly before he reunited with Jennifer Lopez. However, on Saturday (April 23rd), a rep for Affleck rejected these claims.

Affleck's rep told People, "Raya has confirmed that he has not been an active member for several years."

On the new episode of Selling Sunset, released on Friday (April 22nd) along with the rest of the fifth season, Chrishell Stause says, "Remember when Ben Affleck went viral because he sent some girl..." before Hernan cuts in to say, "He may or may not have been texting me."

"He may or may not have asked to grab coffee a few times," Hernan added, saying that she "didn't go." A rep for Hernan claims this took place in 2019.

"You could've foiled Bennifer! He was on the hunt," Stause said. Hernan responded, "Right? It was right before that. So, maybe that wouldn't have happened. We have the Boston connection. So, that was his opening pick-up line."

The Bad Guys didn't have such a bad opening at the weekend box office. The film brought in $24 million as families made their way to the theaters. Universal's President of Domestic Theatrical Distribution, Jim Orr, said on Sunday (April 24th), "The very positive critical and audience reaction to The Bad Guys echoes the overperformance of our title at the domestic box office this weekend and deservedly so as this is a broad, action-packed, charming film with clever comedy for the entire family."

"Palace sources report that the preparation for the Sussex union was all drama, all the time," the author wrote. She added that a "palace source" claimed there "was a lot of raging. "This is funny, because not only did I show Jeff Lazkani Kanye's house, where we get into escrow on Kanye's house. We didn't say who it was. SEAN PENN AND LEILA GEORGE ARE OFFICIALLY DIVORCED: Entertainment Tonight reports that Sean Penn and Leila George have finalized their divorce. A judged signed the paperwork on Friday (April 22nd), just a few months prior to what would have been their two-year anniversary.

PAULINA GRETZKY AND DUSTIN JOHNSON GET MARRIED: According to People, Fame actress Paulina Gretzky and professional golfer Dustin Johnson tied the knot on Saturday (April 23rd) at the Blackberry Farm in Tennessee. The couple have been engaged since 2013.

JIM HARTZ DIES AT 82: According to Deadline, Jim Hartz, who co-hosted the Today show with Barbara Walters in the 1970s, passed away on April 17th at the age of 82. His wife, Alexandra Dickson Hartz, said his cause of death was chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Hartz was a reporter for WNBC before joining Today for two years. Following this, he was a news anchor for WRC and worked with PBS. He is survived by his wife, Alexandra Dickson Hartz, his two daughters, Jana Hartz Maher and Nancy Hartz Cole, his six grandchildren, and his six great-grandchildren.

SHOWTIME AND PARAMOUNT CUT TIES WITH SHOWRUNNER DAVID HOLLANDER: Deadline reports that Showtime and Paramount Television will no longer be working with showrunner David Hollander, who was the "developer, director, executive producer and showrunner" of the upcoming Showtime series American Gigilo, based on the 1980 movie. Sources close to production cite misconduct allegations, though the exact nature of Holland's misconduct is unclear.

JOE MANGANIELLO JOINS THE CAST OF THE KILL ROOM: The A.V. Club reports that Joe Manganiello will join Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman in the dark comedy The Kill Room. Manganiello is set to play "a hitman that gets drawn into the middle of a money laundering operation run by his boss (Jackson) and an art dealer (Thurman)."

JASMINE DAVIS LEAVES THE CHI: According to Deadline, Jasmine Davis recently revealed that she will not be returning for the fifth season of The Chi, which is set to premiere in June. Davis tweeted, "Due to the many inquiries I'm officially announcing. I will not be in season 5 of @SHOTheChi and I will no longer be part of #thechi/#disneyproduction. Sending a BIG THANKS to all of my family and supporters/fans who have embraced me with along this journey. #selfworth." When a fan asked why she was leaving the show, Davis replied, "the reasons will be discussed at a later time." On Sunday (April 24th), Davis reiterated this sentiment while going live on Instagram, asking media outlets to not make assumptions about her departure.

Kris Jenner testified Thursday (April 20th) that Blac Chyna once threatened to kill Kylie Jenner.

According to an account of her testimony published by Page Six, the momager was "alarmed" years ago when Kylie and then-boyfriend Tyga told her about the threat. Kris added that Tyga claimed on multiple occasions that Chyna tried to physically harm him with a knife.

Chyna dated Tyga from 2011 to 2014. He then dated Kylie from 2014 to 2017, while Chyna began a relationship with Rob Kardashian in 2016.

According to Chyna's previous testimony, she was still in a relationship with Tyga when he started dating Kylie in 2014.

It was also revealed Thursday that Chyna hasn't paid her taxes in years.

The reality star admitted on the stand that that she hasn't filed taxes since 2018 or 2019 and doesn't even have a personal bank account. She also testified that she made about $2 million in 2020, 2019, and 2018 with the majority of her income coming from OnlyFans.

Johnny Depp admitted in court Thursday (April 21st) that he believed in 2014 Amber Heard was having an "affair" with her The Adderal Diaries costar, James Franco.

Heard's laywers also accused the 58-year-old actor of him being "in a blackout" for portions of a private jet flight from Boston to LA the couple fought over Franco.

Other highlights of Thursday's testimony included the infamous texts with WandaVision star Paul Bettany that detailed Depp's plan for "burning," "drowning" and having sex with the "burnt corpse" of Heard.

The jury also heard footage of the allegedly drunk Pirates of the Caribbean star cursing, slamming cupboards and breaking other objects before he appears to throw Heard's phone for illegally recording him.

The 58-year-old actor announced the big news on The Kelly Clarkson Show Thursday (April 21st). He told the American Idol alum, "Her name is going to be Lennon Augie, Augie after my father, he said referring to his late father, August Coppola, who died in 2009.

News' Daily Pop that she had feelings for her on-screen love interest, Woody Harrelson. The actress said she "definitely had a crush on him, but we kept it professional. She added, "Maybe that's the spark, too, that we never went there."

ALEC BALDWIN OVERHEARD SAYING HIS NEXT KID WILL HAVE AN 'ALL AMERICAN' NAME: Alec Baldwin was overheard Wednesday (April 20th) night telling entertainment journalist Tom Murro that his seventh child will have an "all-American" name. Page Six reports that one of their "spies" heard the 30 Rock alum joking that the newborn will be named "Babe Ruth or Chase Manhattan." Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria, have traditionally chosen Spanish or Italian names for their children including, Carmen, Maria Lucia, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo and Eduardo.

FILM HALTED FOR COMPLAINT ABOUT BILL MURRAY: Deadline reports that production has been suspended on Aziz Ansari's directorial debut, Being Mortal, due to a complaint made against Bill Murray for inappropriate behavior. It is unknown at this time if the Lost In Translation star will continue his involvement with he project. Insiders told the outlet that Ansari and co-star Seth Rogen were not a part of the complaint.

ROBERT MORSE DEAD AT 90: Robert Morse, the Tony Award-winning star of Broadway's How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying died Wednesday (April 20th) at the age of 90. The Mad Men alum's death was announced on Twitter Thursday (April 21st) morning by Larry Karaszewski, a writer, producer and VP on the board of governors for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

VMA's HEAD BACK TO JERSEY: The VMA's are heading back to New Jersey. MTV announced Thursday (April 21st) that the 2022 Video Music Awards will air live on Sunday, August 28th from New Jersey's Prudential Center. The awards show was last broadcast from the Garden State in 2019.

'TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE' TO PREMIERE ON HBO IN MAY: HBO announced Thursday (April 20th) that the six-episode series, The Time Traveler's Wife, will debut Sunday, May 15th. The drama tells the story of Clare Abshire, played by Rose Leslie, Henry DeTamble, portrayed by Theo James and "a marriage with a problem. . .time travel."

Season five of Red Table Talk premiered yesterday (April 20th) and it opened with a brief statement addressing the Will Smith, Chris Rock slap. The statement said, "Considering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focused on deep healing. Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls."

The statement continued, "Until then the table will continue offering itself to powerful, inspiring and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest."

The episode -- which featured Janelle Monae, was taped before the Oscars slap.

Johnny Depp testified Wednesday (April 20th) that there was human fecal matter in his bed following a fight with Amber Heard.

According to his account, the fight took place on Heard's 30th's birthday, after he turned up one hour and forty minutes late to her 2016 dinner party. He says he decided to leave the penthouse after a verbal argument turned physical, with Heard allegedly striking him repeatedly.

When he tried to return to collect his belongings a security guard showed him a photo of "human fecal matter" splattered on his side of the bed.

Depp testified, "On my side of the bed was human fecal matter. I laughed. It was so outside, it was so bizarre and so grotesque that I could only laugh."

In response to Heard's arguments that the mess was caused by their teacup Yorkies, the Pirates of the Caribbean star said, "I lived with those dogs for many years. That did not come from a dog. It just didn't."

The company that produced Rust has been slapped with a $136,793 fine by the New Mexico Occupational Health and Safety Bureau for its "willful and serious" violation of workplace safety procedures.

According to Deadline, ihe report concludes that Rust Movie Productions LLC's management "knew that firearm safety procedures were not being followed on set and demonstrated plain indifference to employee safety by failing to review work practices and take corrective action."

This is the maximum allowable fine, following the Bureaus' six-month investigation into the circumstances leading up to the shooting that killed Halyna Hutchins and wounded Joel Souza on October 21st, 2021.

Blac Chyna took the stand on Wednesday (April 20th) in her civil case against the Kardashians. During her testimony, she addressed Rob Kardashian's abuse allegations leading up to their breakup and the cancellation of their reality show.

According to Chyna, when the show was picked up for the second season in December 2016 the couple celebrated by joking around and "being silly." This accounted for two separate instances.

The reality star said that when she wrapped an iPhone cord around Kardashian's neck while he was playing video games, she meant no harm and was just trying to get him to pay attention to her. She added that although she pointed an unloaded gun at his head while he was on FaceTime with friends, it also wasn't serious.

Chyna, born Angela White, filed her lawsuit against the Kardashian-Jenner family in 2017. The suit states, "Rob Kardashian is an abuser intent on destroying Angela White, the mother of his baby, who left him in 2016. In revenge, the Kardashian-Jenner family became media predators, slut-shaming her on social media and killing her hit television show ‘Rob & Chyna', which had already begun filming a second season."

The Kardashian-Jenners filed a lawsuit of their own in retaliation that same year, claiming that Chyna "violently attacked Rob." Kim, Khloe, Kris, and Kylie are all expected to testify during the trial.

NeNe Leakes has filed a lawsuit against Bravo, Andy Cohen, production companies True Entertainment and Truly Original for a hostile and racist work environment. According to The AP, NeNe has alleged that her complaints of racism led to her being forced off of the show in 2020.

NeNe also claimed that she complained to producers for years about racist remarks from co-star Kim Zolciak Biermann for nine years and they instead of taking action against Kim, they retaliated against NeNe and forced her off of the show.

NeNe's lawyer David DeRubertis said in a statement, "From the day the series began filming, NeNe was the target of systemic racism from co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, which was tolerated by Bravo executive producer #AndyCohen and other executives."

DeRubertis continued, "As the Black Lives Matter movement swept our nation, Mrs. Leakes — Bravo's historically most successful Black female talent — should have been embraced by NBC, Bravo, and True.Instead, NBC, Bravo, and True forced her out of the ‘house she built,' denying her a regular role."

The suit goes on to allege that the defendants' actions violate federal employment and anti-discrimination law, which is why they are seeking monetary damages to be determined at trial.

J.LAW IS A MOM: Jennifer Lawrence is a mom. E! News reported Wednesday (April 21st) that the 31-year-old Don't Look Up star and her husband Cooke Maroney were spotted out on a walk with their newborn on April 12th. The news broke in September that the couple, who tied the knot in October 2019 was expecting.

AARON PAUL SHARES FIRSTPHOTOS OF SON: Aaron Paul and his wife, Lauren Parsekian, recently welcomed their second child, a baby boy. SOURCES SAY ANGELINA JOLIE IS TRYING TO USE THE FBI TO GO AFTER BRAD PITT: Sources tell Page Six that Angelina Jolie is allegedly trying to find damaging information against Brad Pitt by suing the FBI under the name "Jane Doe." Doe, strongly suspected to be Jolie, is suing the FBI for information regarding their investigation into an incident of possible domestic violence on a private jet years ago. The Malifacent actress filed for divorce against Pitt in 2016, shortly after the FBI looked into Pitt over claims that during a family flight home from Europe, he got into an altercation with their then 15-year-old son, Maddox. No charges were filed.

AFFLECK AND DAMON TEAM FOR NIKE BIOPIC: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are teaming up for a new project about Nike sneaker executive Sonny Vaccaro for Amazon Studios. Affleck is set to direct, write, co-star and produce, while Damon will star, co-write and produce the sports biopic.

TONY AWARDS ISSUE ANTI-SLAP WARNING: There will be no slapping allowed at the Tony Awards. RALPH KISER DEAD AT 56: Former Survivor: Redemption Island contestant Ralph Kiser has died at the age of 56. His family told The Sun that he died on Wednesday (April 20th) morning after suffering a heart attack. Kiser — a farmer from Lebanon, Virginia — competed in Survivor's 22nd season, which aired in 2011, as a member of the Zapatera tribe.

'FAST X' STARTS PRODUCTION: Fast & Furious 10 will officially be titled Fast X. Vin Diesel shared the news on Instagram Wednesday (April 20th) as production began on the latest installment of the action franchise. It is set to bow in theaters on May 19th 2023.

According to the movie trailer released this week for Good Mourning, Machine Gun Kelly plays a celebrity whose girlfriend, played by his actual fiancé, Megan Fox, breaks up with him by text. On Tuesday (April 19th), Johnny Depp testified in the defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp took the stand in Fairfax, Virginia, and said that Heard's abuse allegations against him came as a "complete shock."

"Never did I myself reach the point of striking Ms. Heard in any way, nor have I ever struck any woman in my life," Depp said under oath.

He continued, "Since I knew there was no truth to it whatsoever, I felt it my responsibility to stand up not only for myself in that instance but stand up for my children, who at the time were 14 and 16."

"It's been six years of trying times. It's pretty strange when one day you're Cinderella, so to speak, then 0.6 seconds you're Quasimodo. I didn't deserve that, nor did my children, nor did the people who have believed in me for all these years. I didn't want any of those people to believe that I had done them wrong or lied to them or that I was a fraud. I pride myself on honesty," Depp said.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor added, "My goal is the truth."
