Taylor Swift Has Role In New Movie 'Amsterdam'

After lots of speculation, it's official, Taylor Swift has an acting role in the upcoming movie, Amsterdam. The news was confirmed when the official trailer revealed her character.

About 2 minutes into the promotional clip, she's seen, wearing a 1930s dress and hat while gazing off-screen. Robert De Niro, Chris Rock, and Rami Malek are also in the movie.

Amsterdam is an original romantic crime epic and according to Variety, is set in a quirky and mysterious world in the 1930s,

The trailer shows three friends, vowing to always protect each other as they are being accused of murder. Swift's character is the mourning daughter of the dead man.

Amsterdam hits theaters Nov. 4.

Kanye West is being sued for $400,000 over unpaid rental clothes. According to TMZ, Ye has been using the David Casavant archive over the years, and in 2020 alone, he ended up renting over 49 pieces. However, Ye is being accused of only bringing back 36 of those pieces, and by the end of 2020, he stopped paying his rental fees. Now, DCA is looking to sue Kanye for upwards of $400K due to these outstanding charges.

Ye reportedly owes $220,000 in unpaid fees and DCA wants another $195K to go towards replacing the 13 items that Kanye has yet to bring back.

Backstreet Boys Set To Release First Christmas Album In October

Backstreet Boys will release a holiday record this fall. A Very Backstreet Christmas is a combination of classics like "White Christmas," "Silent Night," and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." A few new songs will also be included.

There will be different versions to choose from. One is an exclusive, 15-track CD, available only at Target. It features bonus tracks of "Feliz Navidad" and "It's Christmas Time Again." The other is a limited-edition, red-vinyl and it will be sold only on the group's website.

To be released October 14, this will be Backstreet Boys' first-ever Christmas album and their first studio effort in three years.

Noah Cyrus Opens Up About Xanax Addiction

Noah Cyrus recently revealed to Rolling Stone that she channeled the ups and downs of her past addiction to Xanax for her upcoming LP, The Hardest Part.

The singer explained that she struggled with the pressures of being part of a public family which includes older sister Miley Cyrus and father Billy Ray Cyrus. She recalled trying downers at the age of 18, amid her battles with body dysmorphia and depression.

She added, "Once I felt that it was possible to silence things out for a second and numb your pain, it was over."

The singer admitted she would sleep all day and wake up sometimes as late as 8 p.m., and revealed, "It just kind of becomes this dark pit, bottomless pit."

Things got scary for Noah when she nodded off mid-conversation during an international television interview at the height of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. She says she reached out for help shortly after and began "slowly wading back into the creative process," which includes her album, slated for a July 15th release.

Thanks to hours of therapy and psychiatry, she says things are improving and tells the outlet, "I wake up in the mornings, and I'm able to look in a mirror and go on about my day without hating myself. I'm able to comfort myself and nurture myself."

R. Kelly On Suicide Watch After Being Sentenced To 30 Years In Prison

R. Kelly is reportedly on suicide watch after being sentenced last week to 30 years behind bars on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

According to the Associated Press, the singer's lawsuit against The Metropolitan Detention Center, Brooklyn (MDC Brooklyn) where he claims he was placed on suicide watch as a form of punishment has been denied by federal officials.

In fact, the Brooklyn U.S. Attorney's Office submitted documents on July 2nd stating that Kelly is under suicide watch "for his own safety" following a psychological assessment.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Melanie Speight said in the court filing that Kelly's "current life circumstances undoubtedly bring emotional distress."

She added, "He is a convicted sex offender who has been sentenced to spend the next three decades in prison. In the immediate future, he faces another federal criminal trial in Chicago for charges related to child pornography."

Kelly previously alleged that his Eighth Amendment right is being violated after he was placed in a single cell at the detention center with no bed rails, shower or toiler paper. He also claims he was forced to eat his meals with his hands and has not received contact from family members.

Big Time Rush's Kendall Schmidt Engaged To Longtime Girlfriend

Kendall Schmidt of the pop group Big Time Rush is now engaged to Mica von Turkovich, his girlfriend of seven years.

The singer shared the announcement on Instagram.

Kendall posted a photo of himself on one knee, proposing to Mica, along with a caption that said, "My heart and soul. I'll love you forever."
