Kanye West Returns To IG To Speak On GAP Partnership

Kanye West returned to Instagram yesterday (July 14th) to speak on his parternship with The Gap and meeting with The Gap Inc executives. He said, "On my moms birthday I was able for the first time to sit in on a Gap call with Bob Martin, Bob Fisher and other leads of the company. Bob Martin was one of the most inspiring people I've heard speak in business. He kept saying go to the stores on the call. I came to Gap to put good product directly in stores."

He continued, "We've had 2 of the biggest sales day in Gap history since I've been there. We sold 14 million dollars worth of the perfect black hoodie at 80 dollars a hoodie off of a television commercial that was ran one time. I came to Gap to bring good quality products to the people at all times. Bob I need to meet with you as soon as possible."

The Yeezy Gap partnership was announced in 2020.

KANYE WEST HIT WITH $7 MILLION LAWSUIT OVER UNPAID CONCERT FEES

In other news, Kanye West has been hit with a $7 million lawsuit over unpaid concert fees. According to Complex, Phantom Labs has filed suit against Ye, claiming that they worked with the rapper on his Free Larry Hoover concert and his canceled Coachella set.

In the suit, the company claimed that Ye was paying the bill at first but then he stopped. Ye's bill was for $6 million but Phantom Labs ultimately was hit with a $1.1 million penalty for cancelling Coachella. Phantom Lab wants all of their money back.

Macklemore And Tones And I To Release Collaboration Soon

Macklemore's long-rumored collaboration with Tones And I is apparently in the can and ready to be released.

Both have teased the music online and He shared a snippet as he tested the track on his car's sound system. He wrote, "Can you guess who's singing on the hook," he writes.

In the background you can hear Toni Watson, better known as Tones And I, singing "I'm on fire."

Tones, who had a monster hit with 2019's "Dance Monkey," has long been a huge fan of Macklemore. There was no mention of a release date.

Blackpink Announces First-Ever In-Game Virtual Concert

Blackpink will join the virtual world with the group's first-ever, in-game concert. Presented by PUBG Mobile, they'll also debut a special track with a new music video within the platform.

While watching the virtual concert, fans will be able to personalize the event by choosing the outfits the group wears on stage.

There will be a few opportunities to see them perform in this ground-breaking in-game event. It runs on July 22 and 23 and again on July 29 and 30 in North & South America.

Players can secure their free tickets (in-game) starting (tomorrow) July 15th, and will be able to preload the Concert Resource Pack the very next day.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Doja Cat has lost 200,000 Instagram followers after going public about Noah Schnapp sharing their private DMs. Doja reached out to Schnapp to inquire about Stranger Things co-star Joseph Quinn, hoping to spark a romance.

After Schnapp's revealed Doja's DMs, Doja said that his actions were "borderline snake sh*t" and "weasel sh*t." This is after she noted that Schnapp is "a kid" and "when you're that young, you make mistakes. You do dumb sh*t."

Doja now has 24.14 million followers while Schnapp gained 1 million followers, going from from 24.25 million to 25.17 million

Jay Z says that he has not retired from rap music. In an interview with Kevin Hart on his Hart to Hart podcast, when asked if he was retired, he said, "Nah, I tried that. I just needed a break. But I really thought that I was really burnt out at that time. I was releasing an album every year. '96, '97, '98, and in between that, soundtracks, other people's albums, Roc-A-Fella, touring, back to back. I just looked up one day and I was like 'I'm tired.' I had never been on vacation until like, I want to say 2000, my whole life. I was just really burnt out at that moment."

He continued, "I don't know what happens next. I'm not actively making music or making an album or have plans to make an album, but I never want to say that I'm retired. Rolling Stone Korea issued an apology to BLACKPINK after making disrespectful remarks about Lisa and Jisoo in a recent column.

The outlet wrote in their Instagram Stories, "We admittedly noted that we used inappropriate choice of words and context that lead to this misunderstanding. A revised and modified column will be published in the second edition of the print next week. The revised column will be on our official website."

The original text said that Jisoo "does not possess the most outstanding talent in the group as a vocalist or dancer."

The column referred to Lisa as having an "exotic appearance" and said that "her pronunciation in those songs is natural enough to prevent the listener from sensing any kinks from the foreign member of the group."
