Happy 4th Of July

As Independence Day approaches, communities across the local area are gearing up for a weekend full of patriotic celebrations, fireworks, live music, and family-friendly activities. From Thursday night through Saturday, residents and visitors can enjoy a variety of events that honor the nation’s independence while providing entertainment for all ages.

Kickoff with a Bang: Thursday, July 3rd

Freedom Festival & Fireworks — Collegedale Commons
4 p.m. – 10 p.m. | Free
Join the festivities at Collegedale Commons for live music, food vendors, a pie-tasting contest, and the Quilts of Valor presentation. The evening culminates with a spectacular fireworks display beginning at 9:30 p.m..

Fort Payne Celebration — Fort Payne Sports Complex
Gates open at 5 p.m. | Free
Enjoy live music and community fun Thursday night. Fireworks light up the sky at 8:45 p.m..

Pops on the River — Coolidge Park
6 p.m. – 11 p.m. | Free
Celebrate with family-friendly activities, food trucks, live music from Chattanooga Soul at 6 p.m. and the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera at 7:20 p.m. A dazzling fireworks display starts at 9:45 p.m..

Festivities Continue on Independence Day — Friday, July 4th

Henagar Potato Festival & Antique Tractor Show — Henagar City Park
All day — crafts, pony rides, vendors, and more.

Etowah, Tennessee
Downtown Etowah hosts a pancake breakfast, 5K run, kid zone, watermelon eating contest, and live music.

Dalton, Georgia — Heritage Point Park
All day — features “Little Miss” and “Junior Miss” pageants at 3 p.m., a cornhole tournament, live music, and fireworks at dusk.

Dunlap Celebration — Harris Park
Starting at 10:30 a.m., with music all day, and special guest actor John Schneider performing at 7 p.m..

Athens, Tennessee — Athens Regional Park
Festivities kick off at 6 p.m., with live music and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Decatur, Tennessee
Downtown Decatur hosts a celebration with music beginning at 6 p.m., fireworks at dusk, and a special display at Island Cove Marina starting at 9 p.m.

Lakesite Freedom Celebration — Dallas Bay Church
6 p.m. | Free, with fireworks at dark.

Chattanooga Lookouts Fireworks Show
After the baseball game at AT&T Field, enjoy the fireworks display.

Lake Winnie Fireworks
The theme park hosts its annual fireworks display at 10 p.m..

Wrapping Up the Weekend — Saturday, July 5th

Soddy-Daisy Celebration
10 a.m. – 11 p.m. | Free
Features games, arts and crafts, a classic Car Show, Kid Zone, Dunk Tank, food trucks, and fireworks at dusk.

Catoosa County Fireworks Fest — Northwest Georgia Amphitheater
Starts at 3 p.m. | Free
Enjoy live music, kids’ activities, food vendors, and a fireworks display beginning at dusk.

Jasper’s Big Boom Celebration
4 p.m. – 9 p.m. (Central Time) | Free
Includes face painting, inflatables, live music, and a fireworks show at 9 p.m..

Chattanooga Lookouts Fireworks
Post-game fireworks at AT&T Field, starting as soon as the game ends.
