Okay “Friends” fans, here’s a question for you:  Would you have been able to handle it if Chandler cheated on Monica?  We’re not talking about an “on a break” situation here, but straight-up infidelity.

Because it almost happened.  An actress named Lisa Cash was hired to play the woman Chandler cheats with after having a fight with Monica.  They rehearsed the scene and everything.  But Matthew Perry wasn’t feeling it.

Lisa says, quote, “I was told that he went to the writers and said the audience will never forgive him for cheating on Monica, which, he was probably right.  That would have changed possibly the course of the show, and of his character.”

(Listen to Lisa tell the story here.)

A lot of people were devastated by Matthew Perry’s death, but apparently it’s hitting Jennifer Aniston the hardest.  And friends are worried.

A source says, quote, “Jen is probably the one who is struggling most acutely.  It’s a second massive loss in less than a year, with the one-year anniversary of her dad’s death just around the corner.

“She still hasn’t fully regained her footing from that, and now this has just completely knocked her off her feet.

“She is trying to regroup and recover but it’s been a completely devastating blow.”
